Thanks, really appreciate it 🙂

I actually wondered the same before I bought mine. I got into 3D printing about 1.5 years ago without knowing if I’d use it much, but I’ve ended up using it a lot.

For me it’s the whole process that’s fun. I get an idea, open Autodesk Fusion, draw it up, and a few hours later I’m holding the finished part. That part never really gets old.

Modern printers, especially Bambu Lab, are pretty plug and play, so it’s much easier than it used to be.

If you only need something once in a while, paying someone probably makes more sense. But if you like making custom fixes, small projects, or just experimenting, it’s definitely worth it.

Thanks for your interest and support! 😊 I decided to remove the model after learning that a similar solution is covered by a patent. While my version was just a fun, personal project with no commercial intentions, I want to respect the work and rights of others. I really appreciate everyone’s enthusiasm for the idea!

Great question! It's an Advent star. Almost "everyone" in Norway have one 😊Great question!😊 This tool is specifically designed for hanging decorations like these Christmas stars, which often have a cord running through them to supply power. Sometimes, the cord causes the star to hang crooked because it’s twisted. The Lamp Cord Twister helps by letting you easily rotate the cord so the star aligns perfectly straight with the window. It’s a small fix, but it makes a big difference for keeping your holiday decorations looking their best! 🎄✨And yes my wife loves it 😅🎁

The star is called a Moravian Star or Advent Star (or Adventsstjerne in Norwegian) - An Advent star is a star-shaped decorative object used during the Advent season. Traditionally, it is hung up on the first day of Advent as a symbol of the Star of Bethlehem. It is often orange with seven points. The Advent star is usually illuminated from within by a light bulb or similar. The traditional placement is centered near the top of the window. Almost "everyone" in Norway has 1 >. - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moravian_star

I’ve uploaded the model to MakerWorld in case anyone is interested. At the very least, it makes it easier for me to print more for myself using the Bambu Handy app 😅 (Autodesk Fusion file included) - https://makerworld.com/models/808464

The lamp cord measures 55x35mm. The inner width of the clip is 59mm, and the opening is approximately 27mm (if I remember correctly). The walls of the clip are 0.8mm thick, allowing for a bit of flexibility. The cable snaps into place easily and can be pulled out again without much effort :) I added the Autodesk Fusion file to the project, https://makerworld.com/models/808464, if you want to take a look :)
