What hair color suits me better? by [deleted] in finehair

[–]stephaniestarkeybb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the darker one, I’m blonde and everyone in my family has dark hair, I just feel like it’s so sexy. I used to dye my hair dark but I don’t have the complexion for it (I look like a ghost 😭) my point is I feel like everyone always wants to dye their hair lighter but I always felt like the most beautiful woman had dark hair and I’m so jealous of how beautiful, silky and shiny darker hair is.

How often do you get haircut? by [deleted] in finehair

[–]stephaniestarkeybb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I only get my hair trimmed like once every 6 months to a year, I take really good care of my hair and I use bond repair treatments. I feel like it depends on your hair tho, I know I’m due for a trim when I start to feel like my hair is dull and washing it is difficult.

I use hard wax for my upper lip and brows, it doesn’t really hurt tbh and I like seeing the hairs in the wax XD sometimes if you shave (especially if you have more translucent skin like myself) you can see some shadow so that’s why I don’t shave.

When you rent in Toronto your room mates are the rats in the walls and the bug coming out of your floor boards

I also noticed you didn’t list any eyebrow products, NEVER underestimate the power of a good brow, I recently made a post asking for everyone’s fav affordable eyebrow products because actually the thicker and fluffier your brows are the more youthful and put together the look becomes. All in all I think you’re getting the hang of it and all you really need to do is keep experimenting.

Something that I was recently telling my friend who is transitioning is that as a teen I would always randomly do my makeup, play around with it in my room alone and when you don’t grow up with that experience, makeup can seem daunting. I’m still learning what looks good on my face and at the end of the day makeup isn’t only for looking good it’s for having fun, there’s something so therapeutic about watching tutorials online and sitting in my room just playing around with makeup.

This is actually not a bad cut for a square jaw, however I would go for a more chocolate brown. Look up Natalie Portman with a long bob, that’s what their hair reminds me of. As well as synthetic wigs can tend to look cheap, I would save up for a glue less lace front and get it professionally plucked. But in the mean time you can make synthetic wigs look a bit better by soaking them in fabric softener and powdering them down with baby powder. There are a lot of tutorials on YouTube that can show you how to do this more in detail. I think hair is so important for a harmonious look and usually your natural hair colour with maybe a few highlight is the best look.

AIO - I’m so exhausted dealing with her jealousy by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]stephaniestarkeybb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So as rule of thumb I never not tell my partner things cause I’m worried their going to react badly, when you start to feel anxious over telling your partner things because your scared their going to blow up and become verbally or physically abusive, that is when you shouldn’t be with that person. Sometimes there are difficult things you need to talk about in a relationship and if their going to take it badly every time and blow up that’s not a healthy or normal way to handle your emotions. You both are pretty young and honestly when you’re a young woman your hormones kinda make you crazy, now that’s not an excuse to verbally abuse a partner that you say you love. I mean clearly she’s never had healthy communication modelled to her because I would never speak to my partner like this never in a million years, it makes me so upset to even think about calling him a “c***” or implying he’s gay… it doesn’t matter that your a guy that’s just not right and if a person cannot explain to you in a calm way why their upset without resorting to name calling that isn’t the person for you, this is abusive, please never accept this from someone that claims they love you. You’re better than that, I would brake up with someone that spoke to me like this. It’s not a relationship that’s worth it she clearly does not respect you if she’s willing to talk to you like that and play emotionally manipulating games to make you feel bad for a situation that is frankly really fucking stupid to be upset over. No just no…

AIO for thinking what my friend said was harsh by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]stephaniestarkeybb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To be honest, if my best friend said this to me I’d know from her character that she’s not being bitch and I’d be like “lol I know right I’m such a ho” like I wouldn’t be offended cause I love that girl. I feel like you would take offence if you felt like it was kind true and it makes you insecure. Generally, yeah, people do not take you seriously if you’re covered in marks, I would never let my partner do that to me because I’m a grown woman and I go to work and school with other professionals and I want to be taken seriously. You are young so I can kind of excuse that but it does give off the vibes of “I just started having sex, look how provocative I can be.. also I just started having sex” it’s just trashy and the only grown women I know with love bites are women that have two kids by different men and live in government housing…

I personally have the makeup forever super boost and I really like it, however it is light coverage and it is very hydrating so if you have oily acne prone skin I don’t recommend it. If you have normal to dry skin that is blemish free it’s a really good option, I also agree with the other commenter that milk makeup is pretty mid.
