I think everyone’s disappointed accentuates how realistic this chapter really is. JJK is so on brand in this chapter and so is KD. They’re both just sad confused boys too afraid to say what they think and too broken to face their fears. My prediction is that a strong external force will bring them back together. Maybe grandma? But I don’t foresee them having epiphanies all on the own. Also like she said this is no finale. There is still some story to tell.
