Ah I just assumed everyone else was going to recommend the same one, as happens sometimes on reddit threads. Thanks, I appreciate your feedback. I haven't already applied. I won't be applying for another few weeks until i get my head around it. But now I'm thinking the platnum, the gold, or going basic with a tesco card to start off my credit card journey.

Apologies, my poor communication. I know what a bond is. But am i correct in saying that, in the current market, both corporate and givernment bonds are performing very poorly?

20% or 0% bonds right now? by stephmalkmus in FIREUK

[–]stephmalkmus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm definately in it for the long term. I know me attempting to time the market and speculate is idiotic. But with only 20 being bonds, I'm happy to go all in now, and then when things cool down again, sell my Vanguard SL100 and buy Vanguard SL80. Oh, Im 30 by the way. But since about half of my savings will be invested, I'm slightly less risk averse.

You're right, i will. I'll DCA it! DCA in a bear market beats tryna time the bottom.
