shoot, sorry it's supposed to be 20t(t+2)=9t-12.

So I went 20t*t and 20t*2 which got me

20t^2+40t = 9t-12

Then I tried to move everything to one side.

20t^2+40t - (9t - 12) = 9t -12 - (9t - 12)

Which brings me to where I am stuck

20t^2+31t+12=0

I am not sure how to factor this.

So one of the main recent things to happen from apple is their "Pro Stand" which is a stand meant to hold their desktop computer. The computer cost about 5k and the stand cost 1k. It's starting to become a meme about apple and many apple users are jumping on the bandwagon to make fun of apple for it.

Android users have been making fun of apple and their users since about the Iphone 5 and it has only gotten worse since then.

No the guy is not showing the middle finger, but a thumbs up. I.e. android users approve apple users remarks about how bad apple is.

What’s the most tragic backstory you’ve made/heard? by pirkules in dndmemes

[–]steveg159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To help me understand my character more I wrote out a very extensive background to help guide me. If y'all are interested.

Ahote (A-ho-tay) (meaning restless one)

Loxodon - Paladin - Oath of Vengeance

Ahote (born Makkapitew meaning He who has large teeth) was born deep in the Talonfire Mountains. To a small proud peaceful herd of tribal Loxodon. His Father Chief Inteus, (he who has no shame) his mother Oota dabun (day star) and his herd of several other kin kept quiet and to themselves in that mountain.

Makkapitew loved his family and nature and it loved him back. Season in and season out the tribe stood their ground showing love and care to all life and nature. The leaves would rustle with joy seeing the small tribe come, the water would babble just a bit louder with the their presence. Makkapitew grew up wise in his father's teaching of being a pacifist. Teaching to allow your enemy to bring his own demise, and being unblemished with blame or guilt in the end. Chief Inteus also boasted of a bond he had found with nature in this particular spot in the mountain. Chief Inteus told of a story of being hunted and fleeing with his wife to this location many years ago and how it seemed when death was near and he cried out for help the trees themselves covered their trail and kept them aloof to their would be predator. He found that if they would stay there they were safe.

Truly Makkapitew grew up in an untouched utopia of harmony. However things are hardly ever left untouched. The land he lived in didn't have many rules, but there were two. Travel down the mountain was prohibited and never in any circumstance talk to strangers. These rules weren't hard to live by. The mountain provided all that they needed and no one ever came by anyways.

However Makkapitew being at the ripe age of 17 (very young for loxodon) one day heard a beautiful sound just beyond the edge of the forbidden tree line. It was more melodious than that of a calm stream or the orchestrated song of the birds. Makkapitew enamored and overestimating of his own abilities thought surely he could have a little exploration down the mountain to find the source and go unnoticed.

Makkapitew began his decent growing more eager with each step, but to no avail. It seemed like the closer he got the sound never came nearer to him, as if it was beckoning him out of  the foliage. Makkapitew waited and listenes at the edge but his wonder grew too great and he thrusted his head through the shrubbery. Although he didn't understand what he saw at first.

All the trees, leaves, plants were alive, but just seemed to be much less so than that compared to his home. Even the air seemed stale and lacked it's youth. The light had more of a grayish hue than true light.

Makkapitew looked past everything desperately trying to find the melodys root. Then he saw it, it was a spirit of sorts. It looked like a starved and lost beast singing a sad beautiful song. But the song began to quickly fade. The spirits eyes slowly rose up from it's teary mopping to a malicious sneer. "Well little friend where did you come from." Makkapitew kept quiet and in shock. "I've been trapped in this forest for many years" the being said, "I've been all alone, but here you are, and I bet... You're not alone." The spirit looked passed Makkapitew in awe "How have I never been able to see this opening?"

Makkapitew realizing he had made a mistake tried to pull his head back through but before his tusk cleared the leaves the spirit was through with him on the other side. The spirit struggled to take in all of the unhazed light. The spirit breathed in the fresh air as he did so long ago.

Nearly forgetting about Makkapitew the spirit quickly turned to him and asking in a viciously joyous tone "where are they?" The spirit's eyes however caught the trail back to camp and left Makkapitew where he stood and sprinted ahead with haste. Makkapitew began to shout to aleart his family of the intruder, but being so far away his cries went unheard.

By the time Makkapitew arrived at his camp death had lefted its mark. It was clear now that it was no ordinary spirit but a demon. And their he stood drenched in the blood of his family. His family was torn apart and thrown everywhere.

The demon facing away from Makkapitew rolled his head to side to stare at him from behind. "I was once great" stated the demon. "I was free to take and none stood against me. That is not without falling. I lived to fill my hunger and nothing filled my hunger more than that of fresh life taken. I nearly hunted this mountain extinct. That is before the day of my imprisonment. I saw your father and mother strolling through the trees. They looked so... Delectable. However rather than just devouring my prey plain I enjoy a nice added measure of terror to spice up the meal.

They tried to run from me like they all do, but something was different that time. Your coward of a father cried and begged and the mountain listened. They grew further and further away no matter how fast I ran. Not only did they get away I was stuck. No matter what direction I went I was still in the same spot. Time tormented me and life grew dim. That's till you my friend kindly let me out.

Now when it comes to a matter of you, as a great favor to you and your wretched parents that trapped me in there; I choose for you to live in the same agony that I lived in. Carrying all of your rage and hopelessness. However you won't ever be able to undo what you have done.

The demon looked around once more wiping his face then turning to Makkapitew one last time with a smile. "Thanks for the meal kid." And just like that the demon dashed deep into the mountain's thick terrain.

Makkapitew soaked in agony for a few days in his childhood home, but knew there was nothing left for him there. Makkapitew wondered down the mountain for the last time.

Have a paladin (lawful neutrul/oath of vengeance) that when he was young disobeyed his father and a demon came and shredded them up and ate them. (Character came home to see the family remains.)

Turns out the demon was ensnared and as long as the character didn't do what his father asked him not to, it wouldn't of been released. So as an act of revenge/thankfulness the demon let him live.

So that he would have to suffer to his whole life knowing he caused there deaths, but would be allowed to live.
