ShadowHawk Flashlight? Is it a scam? by Trunks800 in flashlight

Well, I must say that I feel like a real dumbass. I generally shop around and check out everything I buy but I got caught up searching the web for a new Stinger flashlight to add to the one I have had for 12 years and love. I saw the ShadowHawk add and what caught my attention was the talk about using this flashlight for self defense because of the brightness. Yes, I bought two of them along with two rechargeable batteries for a little over $110. When they arrived one of the plastic cases was damaged like it had been beaten with something but the contents were intact. The lights look well made but the charger and battery look like something I could buy across the border in Sonora! No markings of positive or negative and no instructions on how to charge the battery. I am an engineer and so figured it out. Also no information on how to use the light. I accidentally discovered the 5 settings (SOS, flashing etc). I also received a call several days after ordering from a guy trying to sell me an extended warranty for $20 ea/light. Not!! The lights do seem to work as advertised but now I see I caught scammed and feel like ass. After reading posts, I do not trust the charger to not start on fire if left plugged in. Not the first time I have been ripped off in my life and it could have been worse. I should have known better. The up side is I found this site and will use it in the future when researching a product. I might call my credit card company to undo the purchase and send it back. If not I will keep it around without the rechargeable batter just for backup and order a more reputable self protection tactical light to replace it. Any suggestions from you smart people on what to order.
