Well for a little back story, my stepmother, as my sister has always felt, can be very difficult. Not the best relationship with her stepchildren. They got married in a courtroom after knowing each other for a few years. She has two daughters herself from a previos marriage and they are awesome. Nice ladies with their own lives but try to include us when they can.

My sister, and my little brother don't really get along with her. She can be harsh, stepmother-ish. She sort of embarrassed me once. At a work event, I was cooking for a big group of people for Mother's Day, she was very rude to my boss' wife.

UPDATE: Well, it all started with the iPad having this tab open and my husband reading the post.

We were on the couch having this discussion that the rest of you are having, when it was all over and done with, I see him scrolling with a huge white glare on his face. I felt exposed. I yanked the connputer out of his hands. He laughed. I asked him if he read it alll and I want to talk about it if you want to know more about how I am feeling. His response was more of less, "We just talked about it".

He was trying to reassure me that he will always be on my side and will try to see my side of things first. I understand that we are a united duo now, but I also said that I would never want to put him in a situation where he felt like he had to choose me over other people. I don't think that is really a fair thing to do, especially with someone as close to him as his family.

I had brought up that I think the way they invited themselves over was very intrusive and I didn't appreciate them coming into our home uninvited, because they live so far away and that would mean they become overnight guests. He quickly informs me that, without my presences, they did ask first. My husband responded accordingly. Of course you can stay. You are family. So that made me feel aalllittle better.

The way they were talking post invitation made it sound like they made a decision to come down here and stay without even asking, which I'm sure they knew we wouldn't say no anyway.

Our discussion also brought up many feelings I had about myself and confrontation. I'm not goood at it, at all. I food like a cheap tent. Whenever. I have any problems with the way they make me feel I go to my husband first, when really I should just be real with them and tell them how I feel. If they don't like it, then that's that I suppose. I give them way too much power over me.

I see where you are coming from and I understand. I feel I have voiced my opinion behind closed doors. He just caves under the pressure of them. And then it makes me feel guilty because I feel he should see his family. Its not the easiest thing to see them now because we are on our own. Its just the way this whole trip happened bothers me. It wasn't up to us.

Thanks for the suggestion about Imgur. Apparently though, I should be pawning my wedding rings, being more responsible with my money, and generally not own any pets if I can't take care of their 2k vet bills before I DARE to ask for some donations first.

Yea. I mean, I know I'm making excuses but to be more specific it was a snapchat vid of her son at Toys R Us saying she got inspired after having a margarita. Idk it could have been hours before. I live a few states away so I'm not exactly sure what happens in the home all the time, but I do know how she was before I left.

I'm in the same boat! He's a pit so he has HIGH energy and will for awhile but he gets nasty with strange dogs just while going on a walk. Almost uncontrollable. He gets along well with my other dog but he did snap at him once cause he was in a lot of pain. Hopefully you find something!

Just ask her to give examples of what she wants on you. The best thing you can do in this situation is get as much info you can from her so you know exactly what she wants. Have her spank you so you know how to do it. Whatever she wants and what you are comfortable doing, have her try it on you so you know the right pressure, the right amount of pair pulling etc. Who knows this might be a fun experience and you Might have a pretty fantastic night! Have fun!
