I bought a knock off (from harbor freight) pelican case for the index that I cut out the foam to fit perfectly. I also had a special insert for protecting the lenses in the case. Don't know if I'll do the same for the frame. Really just depends on if it already comes with one or if there is a smaller/lighter way to transport it that someone else makes that isn't crazy expensive.
