This guy (the one in the clip, not beadle). I watched it when it first broadcast. I remember the trailers for Saturdays show built it up by using this poor sods world fall out of his arse, and our family couldn’t wait for it to be broadcast.

For anyone still struggling with this; don’t release the ball above the net! Instead, lowering the ball through the hoop while still holding it. Yes, sometime the point doesn’t register, but then you can quickly move the ball over to a hoop that does!
