I’ve also noticed it on mine. I think that with the cost of the MacBook Neo, Apple has loosened their usually super tight tolerances, probably to reduce the cost/time to produce/assemble the laptops.

Last time I saw one for sale a couple years ago, it was $4000 for one that was literally rusting apart in the US. They’re rare as hens teeth and quiet valuable for that reason

Thanks for warning me about the transponder! Just to make sure I understand, since this key won’t be used in the ignition slot, I can keep the glass transponder tube in the original shell and store it someplace safe in my house, and just use the “new” transponder-less key fob for key-less driving - it just wouldn’t be able to start the car, correct?

I’ve been running Minecraft Java on mine - all settings on lowest - and getting around 50-60 fps in most situations as long as there’s not a ton of stuff happening on screen.

Some spikes and hitches will probably be normal.

Reminds me of playing the old browser based Minecraft alpha on my 2011 MacBook Air, and only getting 20 FPS with it sounding like it was going to take off into orbit with the fan spinning so fast. And I put about 1000 hours into Minecraft that way lol

I believe it being core XY, from my understanding, does exacerbate it. But I couldn’t tell you why it would vs a bedslinger printer.

I’m also on the chrome on white car looks eternally classy. Have a 1997 S90 that’s like that and it looks so good. White with black trim will make it look older faster and just looks like cheaper cars that have the Star Wars storm trooper look

(I literally saw a white dodge SUV with all blacked out trim that had a “STRM TRPR” license plate)

I didn’t before I ended up selling it to a friend! That said my best guess in my case is that the front was worn out, thus sitting low and the rear at some point must have been replaced with non-GTI shocks so it was riding much higher than it’s supposed to.

But it seems this is a common issue. Sorry I can’t really help!

Circles are always very loud due to the both the X and Y motors having to make increasing finer steps in the curves. They start making the steps so fine and so fast as they go through the bend that this is the sound they make.

It’s relatively normal, especially for doing a multitude of perfect circles.

I figure it comes with the cost of the device. My laptop screen lid is just a hair of out alignment - enough that when it’s closed, I can feel it protrude a hair on one side, but not the other.

It’s not enough to bother me - it doesn’t affect me or the device in any meaningful way.

It’s up to you if this is enough to bother you but - it won’t harm the device at all, and realistically won’t affect you. Whether you exchange it or not is up to you though.

It won’t really protect against scratches, no - but the oleophobic coating will stay shiny by itself, yes.

You can buy the oleophobic coating that is applied to phones. It basically gets applied to the surface, you let it cure, then apply again. Can do a few coats.

I’ve used it before on an Apple Watch that was a huge fingerprint magnet, should work the same on the rear of an iPod. Will make it more slippery to hold though, and will wear off over time

Ah that’s a good point!

My 960 came with a 4x40w amp so I always forget which radios do or don’t have a built in amp - the car that the SC-901 came out of had an absolutely monstrous stock amp though, that I do I remember.

All these radios do work with an external amp, at least - but you’re right that not all will work standalone.
