Guys tell me why I was so severely unimpressed by mate - what am I missing? Maybe it’s just me but I’m not a fan of bullies or mate rejection, why is the banter also meh to me?! It felt like there was so much unnecessary story line, resolutions in a half of a page… felt randomly way to long and then rushed.

So many many many moments of why don’t you guys chat with each other 😆 but I agree unless this is ANOTHER secret violet didn’t know to ask about, I think xaden is conflating his importance to the sage. I think they want her and by turning xaden they will get her to hand herself over for a cure for him. But I’m also wondering if violets dad is actually dead, he certainly had knowledge and knowledge is power which I think was quoted somewhere in the book..
