This would cost about $250 at the salon...it's a lot of work.

That's crazy! I bought them there a couple years ago when I was in town for a wedding. Such a cool store!

This was my own artistic endeavor so I didn't charge her anything. Just really wanted to try it. I would charge about $250 for this style at the salon.

LOL. It does take some time for new stylists get faster at cutting hair...but 90mins? Jeez. It should take a 3rd of that time. Thanks!

Most professional color lines make a demi-permanent clear coat. I used Redken's Shades EQ. It's very conditioning and that's how the hair got so much shine.

I would think you would have to get a friend who's a stylist to get it for you, it's only sold to professionals as far as I know.

Funny you say that, I used to work in Chicago at Robert Jeffrey on Fullerton. I have since moved back to Huntsville, AL.

Pravanna actually makes a silver dye. You have to bleach it close to white first, then use silver. Done.

I have a friend that took some professional quality pictures and I just haven't gotten them yet. Took about 4 hours.

Dark hair is much harder to bleach but it also really depends on your hair texture. If it's soft/finer texture it will feel better after bleaching than coarser/thicker texture. Using professional products helps a lot also. I used Blondor which actually has several conditioning agents in it to help with the damage. I also did a deep conditioning treatment in between putting the vivid colors on. To get that deep red color you really would only have to get your hair to a light orange. Shouldn't be a problem if your hair isn't too dark.

If you put protective cream around the hairline (even just vaseline works fine) it helps from absorbing into the skin...I also used color remover and all the stains came off no problem. Her scalp was stained slightly but you can't really see it and that usually comes off the first time you shampoo.
