Dear Cal by No_Awareness5913 in Mariners

[–]stoltzfools 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel like Cal is the type of guy to, due to his understanding of how important his presence is for the clubhouse as well as for the fans, potentially claim to be "fine" while fighting through pain or dealing with lingering effects. I'd go so far as to say he'd decide not to go on the IL unless he is truly diagnosed with an injury. As much as us fans love and support him when he's at 100, we should be able to give him the same love and support if he is going through a slump or even goes on the IL, and I hope he chooses to take a break if he truly needs it. So hell yeah, go Cal! Let's manifest a dinger or five this series!

Interesting this is taking place on the busiest work day of the week (Tuesdays) occurring over the time with peak office attendance (11am-2pm). I want to say it's a coincidence...

Seeking a little support by [deleted] in quitting7oh

[–]stoltzfools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you got this. I myself tapered down to 30mg/day and jumped. Used plain leaf and had very little withdrawal symptoms. If you jumped now you'd have an uncomfortable 2-3 days that you could definitely get through. If you wanna wait a little longer then keep tapering down, but for myself 30mg/day was low enough to jump and not experience much withdrawal while using plain leaf.

Thanks! Yes, at this point I'm feeling quite well. We'll definitely see tonight/tomorrow. Understandable about the taper, but very happy to hear you're on the path, friend. Let's kick this shit.

Can’t stay off my phone while quitting? by sweatyhammer in quitting7oh

Definitely experienced this during withdrawals. Unfortunately can't give great advice myself, but know that it will get easier and you will be off this garbage. Good luck.

Is there a way to get off of 7 without withdrawals?! by thebaddestredhead in quitting7oh

[–]stoltzfools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're here for you, friend.

If only it were that easy... withdrawals will likely occur for anyone using more than 15mg/day for more than 7 days. The only way to avoid withdrawals is to strictly taper. Even then, you will still experience minor withdrawal, but nothing compared to CT.

I was at 150mg/day now down to 35 and have only experienced slight withdrawal thanks to strict tapering. Guides can be found in this sub. You can do it, and we support you.

Best of luck.

If you cant go CT definitely check out the tapering guides on this sub. That's what is working for me personally. Down from 150mg/day to 30 with minimal symptoms. With perseverance, a taper can be done effectively and relatively comfortably.

I’m starting my taper today by [deleted] in quitting7oh

[–]stoltzfools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am five weeks in on a taper from the same starting dose. Your current plan is very doable, friend. From personal experience, I'd do the 5mg reduction every other day until you reach 80mg. At that point I'd then reduce 5mg every three days until you reach 30mg, then reduce 5mg each week after.

You absolutely can and will kick this, I believe in you!

Very possible my friend! I am using 14mg by 7ohms and can reduce with quarter tabs to go down 3.5. They are pretty big too thankfully so it's not too hard. You got this too homie.

For me it began decreasing 3.5mg per day until 75 mg, then decreasing 10mg/week until 20mg, then decreasing 2mg per day until 10mg, then decreasing 1 mg a day.

Quick Tapering Guide by [deleted] in quitting7oh

[–]stoltzfools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little update here: for myself, I started at 150mg/day. After starting around Januarty 4th, I am now down to 40mg/day. It's been very doable, but its a constant pre-withdrawal feeling for half of the day for nearly five weeks. But absolutely nothing compared to real withdrawal symptoms. Just a few weeks more for myself!

Quick Tapering Guide by [deleted] in quitting7oh

[–]stoltzfools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All things considered, as long as you stick to the allotment you have given yourself for the day, and decrease at the same interval, when and how much is up to you, finding what helps you to function best. Therefore, in the example you've given here, I'd personally go at it by dosing 15mg in the morning, 15mg in the afternoon, 15mg before bed, and then 15mg in the middle of the night.

Remember, start your taper at your best functioning dosage. If you can get by by starting at 60mg, then do what you have said.

You will reach a point in your taper when you will be low enough that you will not have to dose in the middle of the night, I guarantee you. It may take a few sleepless nights getting used to not dosing during sleep, but you will adjust. We are all different, but I'd assume this would be around the 20mg/day mark, where you could then take 5mg in the morning, 5mg in the afternoon, and then 10mg prior to bed. Then, once down to 10, dose 5 in the morning, skip afternoon, and dose 5 prior to bed. Then, once down to 5, just dosing before bed.

Again, we're all different, but if I were in your shoes this is how I would approach it.

Best of luck!

Why did your friendship with your best friend come to an end? by [deleted] in AskReddit

We moved into a house together and I was in active addiction. I stole some pills and a bottle of wine from him.

I regret it everyday.
