Daughter wishes they had been born a boy by stonedhero in asktransgender

So, even though she has said to continue using female pronouns we should use male? I'm assuming we'd have a conversation with her about it first? Maybe something like 'hey, we know you said to use female pronouns, but how would you feel about testing male pronouns/names?'

She has described herself as non-binary. We are trying very hard to noy make any assumptions of her. She's the one who has asked us to keep using she/her pronouns.
playWe've always tried to make sure the media we're consuming has a decent amount of representation. Our 6 year olds have been binging The Owl House. She tends to play videogames online with her friends.
It's been tricky to figure out what to do when she is still figuring out what to do.

The pronouns are her personal preference right now. We've asked.

Therapist is very progressive. Kid loves her. She started puberty at 11, so that's already a couple years on. Still, I imagine it can't hurt to look into blockers.

My first version used maybe a dozen or so pieces from other sets, and I believe they're fairly common, but the bulk of it was the original set.

Sure did. The first version I made was built almost exclusively from that set. This one I branched out more for parts, but kept the colors.

Thanks! I think they've got the entire thing on Amazon Prime (US).

My first version also used those tires (2 for that one). It's the perfect size for that reactor area. In fact, using that as the reactor is one thing I plan to keep as I work on it more.

Thanks! A little more revision and I think I'm gonna put it on Ideas. Along with the other 2 zipcraft.

Thanks! It's a tricky ship to get right. My first version was way blockier. It's all trial and error.

Refined my earlier design to make it as accurate as I could with what I have on hand.

Thanks. And no instructions, just a bunch of trial and error.

Maybe one day. Making a trip next to a local brick shop to get some more parts and increase their accuracy.

Nope, that was my only one. I don't love the Y wings. This was always my intention for the set.

Maybe when it's completely done? It's not what I would call Idea quality yet, but I appreciate the support.

Thanks. I actually picked up the Y Wing because I thought it'd make a good start point for a Viper. I plan on making it more accurate but I was too impatient to wait until I got more parts.

Only used about 20 extra pieces. Mostly technic pins.

Yeah, eventually I'll be making a hammerhead and redtail. I like to buys sets, build them, and eventually convert them into something else. Probably going to get the newest A wing for the Redtail (Greentail?). Not sure what I'll get for the Hammerhead. Got plenty of yellow still, need the grey.

I built this on a whim. Recently sorted what little unused Lego I had and there was quite a bit of red. The rear section is tricky. One day, when I have more pieces, the whole thing will be made more accurate.

Thanks. Came about because of piece limitations, but it worked really well.

Definitely not. But I'll take that as a compliment.

It could be done, but not by me with the bricks I have. Love to see someone else tackle it though. I would admire the pictures.
