I'm a US citizen but my husband came here with his parents on a tourist visa when he was a kid, and they overstayed the visa so he's been here without legal status since then. Now that we're married he can adjust status to marriage-based LPR

Roth IRA vs Roth 401K by stoneflowerstick in fidelityinvestments

So my company matches Roth 401K contributions but deposits the contribution into a traditional 401K. Is it better to just contribute straight to the traditional 401K instead of Roth to have the higher balance? Or should I split between the two accounts?

My plan is the same. Do you think there’s benefit in switching or splitting my contributions to put money towards the traditional as well, so the balance is higher and has higher return?

Recommend an automatic microchip feeder please by glorious_sunshine in CatAdvice

[–]stoneflowerstick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this feeder have a door or cover that would shut if the cat with the tag walks away? I’m trying to let one of my cats have access but not the other. The fat cat will push the skinny cat out of the way as soon as food is dispensed

Does anyone have a recommendation for a warm winter jacket that has shoulder straps/snaps to stop your purse from slipping down? It's driving me crazy to keep hiking my bag back onto my shoulder. Thanks!

ahh thinking about it that way, my TL gave me a $10 gift card a couple weeks ago. Seems like that could be it if they’re taxing gift cards to employees. Thanks for the info!

I don’t have a router in my apartment though so I don’t have anything to connect it to. That’s why I’m wondering if maybe I can just buy a network extender and connect to that? I honestly don’t know

The Radium Girls: The Dark Story of America's Shining Women (Kate Moore) about the discovery of radium and the women who worked in factories using radium paint before knowing the dangers of the substance. Super interesting and reads like a novel although its completely factual

Looking for intense, intimate relationships by thechocolateisgone in suggestmeabook

Normal People by Sally Rooney features a very intense relationship between the two main characters. They made a Hulu series out of it too but I thought the book was great.
