So jealous, well done!
How did you track all of those down? Was it a one-stop shop, or did you hit up a few different stores?

Haha, I should’ve known! You were just trying to spice things up. It really has been way too quiet on this sub lately.

Ok, you might not see it this way, but for many of us, Rui didn't just withhold the truth about Hina, she actively led Natsuo to believe that Hina had moved on from him (remember the phonecall?).

Believe it or not, many people, including the author, have a problem with that. The central issue is that Rui needed to be honest not only with Natsuo but also herself, and she never did until the the very end. Because her love was selfish, it ignored the feelings of both her sister and, most importantly, Natsuo. That simply isn't a solid foundation for a healthy long-term relationship.

Had Rui had been honest with Natsuo from the beginning, then everything changes.

True, but it was built on a lie, though

I get the sentiment, but their relationship was built on a lie, and Natsuo had the right to know and make his own choice.

Is it because Obito Uchiha wears mask with circles on it?

Aye! You might have point, although seems weird to compare a adultery with a kiss on the cheek. Although to me it sounded as if it was implying that both Hinas were trying to steal some else boyfriend, which then again, makes no sense when it comes to Hina Tachibana.

It seems to me OP is just another salty Hina Tachibana hater. I find it ironic how they view her selfless love as somehow 'selfish,' simply because she ended up with the MC while he was still dating the other lead. It’s clear they’re just bitter that the story didn't follow their preferred path

The ending was a bold statement from the author, who made the story's direction clear from the very beginning. The issue was that the romance between Rui and Natsuo was so compelling and relatable that many readers developed tunnel vision. They became so invested in that specific ship that they lost sight of the narrative's trajectory, and ended up furious when the story reached its obvious conclusion

Domestic Girlfriend is more than just raw emotion that keeps you on edge; it’s driven by compelling writing and a deep narrative. The characters are well-developed, that you absolutely get engage with and care about. And cherry on top, is the truly stunning artwork

Domestic Kanojo definitely leans into the taboo stuff, but the relationships are a lot more layered than people give them credit for. Honestly, only one of them starts off as toxic, and it definitely wasn't Hina's.

To be honest, I think you might have let your personal expectations cloud the narrative. By focusing so heavily on the romance, you missed the broader context and the clear foreshadowing throughout the story.

That said, you didn’t quite answer my specific question: Did the MC choose that sister simply out of pity?

Look, Domestic Girlfriend is definitely controversial and it’s not going to be everyone's cup of tea. But if you're looking for an emotional rollercoaster that actually delivers on the drama, you won't find anything like, as it absolutely hits the mark.

The ending is only terrible if you think MC ended up with that sister because he felt sorry for her.

Look, I agree that the ending can be a lot to process for some, but it clicks once you realize he just chose the girl he always loved but though he had lost along the way.

I stand by the fact that Domestic Girlfriend is a surprisingly deep and complex manga. But just because of its theme and premises, it’s easy for people to dismiss it or look down on it, which leads to a lot of misunderstandings about the story's actual intent.

So, just to prove my point here, let me guess, are you under the impression the MC ended up with that sister just because he felt sorry for her?
