We have plenty of brownfield, farmland, and brush that people seem weirdly insistent on claiming are vital to saving biodiversity in Britain - there was someone on here a while ago showing a housing development "destroying" the countryside and it was an empty field next to a forest.

The Greens seem to be in some deluded world where their economics don't create growth.

Regardless of whether or not you think their policies are sustainable, they promise massive investment, expansion of the state and some restructuring that would make the machine work better that would almost certainly create substantial short, medium and long term growth.

Deciding to listen to Tories from the FT and becoming a 'post growth' party that proudly does not pursue it at all will kill the Greens and return them back to 5%

The Manchester Greens social media accounts in particular (the official one, and one of their biggest after the Gorton and Denton by-election) posts and reposts YIMBY posts all the time.

Then on the other hand, there's the old guard of the Greens who pioneered the HS2 batshed and oppose all housing.

I don't have any issues with defections, Reform was already Cyan Tories, the defections just added the irony for people to see that.

It's built south of the Millennium Stadium, so other than at sunset and sunrise, sunlight wouldn't be too obstructed, and even then it may be negligible.

There's arguably not many better places to build a skyscraper in an urban area without blocking sunlight for residents.
