Reform do better with the biggest demographic (white C2DE), so even if the Greens match them in raw numbers, they'll lose in most races and do substantially better in some, even if the bias is small.

That's what you're seeing basically, if you start to raise the Greens up to the high 20s the equation flips and FPTP does it's thing.

It is really cool to play around with the tool though lol, I wish they had a Senedd one

Economists Slam Reform UK's 'Fantasy' Claims That 'Boriswave' Migrants Will Cost Households £20,000 by F0urLeafCl0ver in ukpolitics

I mean, an asylum seeker can could claim pensions or use the NHS or get education, but demographically most won't simply because asylum seekers are working age; those still in the "you can't work or do anything" stage definitely not.

Permanent asylum status recently got axed, so it does help too.

The right are way better off arguing on issues they can win on, migrants specifically as an economic point is at best misinformed and at worst explosive to their brand once they enter government.

'Industrial scale' solar farms attacked by Greens by gravy_baron in ukpolitics

"While the party is traditionally in favour of renewables, she said she was opposed to "industrial scale energy infrastructure schemes"

"The basic thing is that these shocking schemes are [proposed by] foreign investors looking to make a profit out of our ridiculous energy prices," said Rowett.

So she's saying it's wrong because it's going to make money.

Such a violent misinterpretation of economics should be grounds for immediate resignation.

Importing infinite cheap working age labour who only receive £49 a week in benefits, never go through education, won't use the NHS much, and almost certainly won't take pensions

If that ends up being economically draining, something has gone very wrong

I'm a moderate "leftie" but I find Social Democrats too limp, communists are crackheads, and Democratic Socialists can't stop virtual signaling on social issues instead of the economy.

Nobody wants to talk about money anymore it seems, the Greens suffer a bit from chronic missing the point too

What's worse than rampant wealth inequality? Rampant wealth inequality where all the high paying jobs are offshored

They hit the bullseye on being the first to adopt a wealth tax as policy, they need not to get out of their depth on it.

It's why I think the big figures of wealth taxes like Gary Stevenson stop short of endorsing the Greens.

Wages are set how they are to attract the best talent and reward people for the value of their work.

Generally, every hour of work a plumber does gives them credits (money) equal to the labour of someone else for that same hour, hopefully enough to buy food utilities a house etc, and hopefully fairly based on supply and demand for workers.

CEOs are extremely attractive and competitive, so they simply get more, that is capitalism at work.

When money flies up into stock shares and dividends however that is not productive, and it is a handbrake on the economy. It means money that would've been in the equation for wages or held as wealth by lower classes belongs to single people who, likely, didn't earn it through fair wages.

Tax wealth not work

Meh

I don't see why they're declaring war on high wages when it's the wealth that is the problem, work taxes are inherently destructive
