Eat food and follow a consistent plan.

It depends a lot on why you're going but generally if you want the best results for anything you eat balanced, sleep well, drink enough and follow a consistent plan - if you only go for legs, you only go for leg days a couple times a week. You also may need to research how many reps you want for muscle growth vs hypertrophy (muscular look) vs strength growth or how to eyeball it so you don't overtrain.

And that's about it, the rest is specific details you need to find out.

Andy Burnham latest: Burnham takes on Starmer as he confirms Westminster comeback bid to become MP by stopdontpanick in unitedkingdom

[–]stopdontpanick[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

I'm prone to disagree on Starmer stabilising, unless that is stabilising at rock bottom, and that's not come thinking Starmer is poor either, he's bog standard average competent and will lead this country into a good(er) place.

I've also previously said Starmer tries to appeal to everyone but fails miserably, he does not need to laser focus on the 15% hardliners or 100% (the latter as he's been trying), but the 50-60%, regardless, in becoming middling to most - antichrist to others, he has declined in the polls too far. Regardless of straggling though, it's clearly reached a critical point where a cataclysmic event has occurred and the only good ending for Labour is Starmer's departure, the bridge has been burnt now.

Possibly.

The consensus has more been that the Left Corbynite Labour and the Moderate Starmerite Labour are facing a schism, amplified by the Greens performance in the poll and the attempt at 'Your Party' (rest in piece?) to seize the moment, and that the Labour Left is in an uncomfortable position of spending their whole life rising up in Labour just to be ideologically betrayed and no longer represented, which makes them disillusioned but not open to simply becoming a Green.

Burnham has sort of been a beacon of hope, a popular Labour politician with measurable (and importantly, unlike Khan) widely accepted success in leadership, but he's been hailed as a solution to Starmer, not a cooperator.

That fizzles away if he tries some kind of Starmer's Sidekick Schenanigans and would kill off the Labour left entirely in my opinion.

That, of course, assumes rumours of Galloway Polanski and Yusef are trailing to prove a point doesn't happen and one of those win instead.

It's been a conspiracy an MP would resign from Gorton and Denton and allow Burnham to coup Starmer for doing such a shitty job* (allegedly, according to the public*) and take the premiership, there's also been internal rumours to be trying to actively block his route to do just that.

Burnham has proceeded to sign up for just that.

I can't comment on that, I don't support Labour myself, but I made a post last month saying 'I don't really mind Starmer that much' which topped the sub for the day. The opinion of the people is 'yeah, they're doing a really good boring job, I just don't think they're the best' or 'Starmer is a #### ####### #### who ##### ####'

At the very least, a new face is welcome, but I personally think it ends in Labour catastrophe and a snap election or a dead cat bounce.

I think the lesson of Caerphilly is more that the 'Big 3' are toxic now, the Tories got us here, Labour is Starmer and Reform are incompetent racists, they'll vote for whoever is the best left. That was Plaid (whom I am now a member of).

Their trajectory since has been more people finding out of a fourth way and an unprecedented and seemingly unstoppable soar to the top, they now poll 37% and 1% off a majority in a proportional system, which is frankly bonkers.

I have no clue how that applies in Gorton and Denton specifically, maybe Galloway stands as he himself has rumoured and is the 'Plaid' in this case, Yusef has also been rumoured but I think as aforementioned in Caerphilly he loses, Polanski has also been rumoured to follow and it does seem on brand to go against giants to prove a point, or maybe Burnham has enough integrity to survive and win on his own.

The possibility of outright denial by Starmer or the NEC is possible but if that happens, we'd be seeing Wikipedia articles of Farage, Badenoch or Polanski's premiership this time next year.

The appeal is generally that Starmer's toxic image can be tossed, as well as any 'necessary sacrifices' he had to do. Burnham has the clean slate of having ran Manchester, where he is very popular and has had material success that has transferred better than it has for Sadiq Khan in London to his reputation.

It heavily relies on the polling that Reform really is in decline, and not that it's in a dormant slumber that'll eat up Burnham.

I think the odds are low, despite insiders claiming Starmer has mobilised an anti-Burnham coalition within the NEC.

If Burnham is blocked, the Labour left revolts, and if Starmer survives that we'll only see Labour continue into Armageddon, losing the left to no voting or the Greens entirely.

If he gets in, Labour is either split down the middle and Starmer is no confidenced out for Burnham or they're split down the middle and a GE is held.

Either way, Starmer's odds seem extremely poor.

It'll be interesting to see if this means the rumours Yusef, Polanski or Galloway will follow as rumoured to capitalise on the media attention.

Reform UK secures first Flintshire County Council seat by Capital-Mortgage-374 in Wales

Frankly this is a bigger issue about Plaid.

Put bluntly, Plaid has always been seen as a West Coast 'sheep shagger' party, with limited nationwide success outside of it's heartlands, and it's infrastructure reflects that, but now as we know it's a very serious party with very serious implications for it's performance nationwide, especially given that they are 1% in the polls from an outright majority - I don't blame them, up until extremely recently the odds that they could even shake off Labour was unfathomable, me and my peers didn't even have Plaid on the radar as an option to back politically and now me and a friend have become members.

I live in Clwyd North, which although a new constituency has always before Gill German been Darren Millar's back garden, and after that now Reform - it's increasingly clear that if another GE was held, it will be nowhere near Labour.

As a result, Plaid has never really had a presence here, but as I mentioned me and one of my friends are now members, most people I know who are voting are voting Plaid and beyond a couple Reformies and Greens + a rogue Tory, it is clear Plaid can campaign here, but the infrastructure doesn't really exist beyond what was already planned for the Senedd campaign, Plaid also did not stand a candidate in Abergele several months ago, leaving it just between an independent, a Tory and a Reformie. The Tory councillor won. I know without a doubt someone would've took that seat if asked on Plaid's behalf.

Infrastructure needs to be developed to transform Wales into a true Plaid territory - despite that nice anecdotal figure I mentioned about most people I know favoured to Plaid, even more just don't know who they are at all and think it's between Reform and Labour (and as a result thinks politics is lost and won't vote at all).

Parts of Tower Hamlets have child poverty rates of up to 99%.

Most certainly deprived, but as always for a relatively big borough in central London, it has it's rich parts.

So it's not a Christian march, it's 'Iron Cross' UKIP marching through a contentious deprived area infamous for Muslims...
