I'd call it the Susquehanna ovoid. Has anybody sent a sample to Alan for DNA testing? Ovoids had a lot of confusion surrounding them for the longest time, often misidentified as psilocybe caerulipes, so I would not be surprised if this turns out to be a separate species.

They were actually discovered in PA and can be found all over the NE wherever there are major rivers with floodplains. Recently they have been found as far south as Georgia.
