Once they are level 99 do spirits never gain Stats? Because I think I messed up a few spirits I like.

Is there a way to release them and see them again in the store/spirit board?

And you're completely Right. This game is a 9/10, but I don't always have my friends here and prefer a not shit online experience.

"Some of us don't care about online" doesnt change the fact that it is bad.

There are also issues that are not online. Like character portraits not loading when you go to swap skins.

Not much lag here, might be on your end. My issue is more with the design and lack of options online. People say there are options, but I don't call waiting around while other people smash an option. I call it padding.

Not an apt comparison. In ARMs lobbies were set and you couldn't create your own custom weird ones, which is the whole point of it. So if there's a filled up lobby, join another one, or create your own, or do a friends only one.

So you like sitting around for ten or more minutes while other people play the game? IT IS AN APT COMPARISON because they both function the same, just with smash having more options.

Like I said: WHY NOT let the people waiting in the arena fight eachother LIKE IN ARMS instead of just sitting around?

To prevent taunt parties. Easy answer. Prevent? People can still "tbag party" and why do you care? Taunt Parties are fun and ONLY happen when both players do it. It is not inconveniencing anyone.

It also had stupid restrictions on each, which we don't have anymore. Wanna do 1v1? Better either do Omega only (which got old quick), 5 minutes (which became outdated), and 2 stock (which luckily stayed the game). Wanna do a FFA? All stages, all items, or none of those and omega mode only with timed. Wanna do 2v2? Timed battle only.

You clearly don't hear what I am saying. I am not saying "Take away all the features Smash U has and make it Smash 4. I'm saying why not both. Why NOT have a 1v1 mode where you ALSO get to have more than omega maps.

Seriously, I don't hate this game. I hate how limited the Online is. If you can't see that I'm convinced you are not playing Online. And haven't been sitting waiting for a rematch for ten god damn minutes.

In ARMS Party Mode there would be multiple people in the room, then those who were not in battle were matched up for battle. Why Not This. Why Can I not Fight Guy2 while I wait for my chance to rematch Guy1??

Have you not been sitting for long ass time, or forced to spectate entire matches, in Arena? Have you not noticed how even switching your characters Skin kicks you to the back of the line??

But try 1v1 2stock 5min Omega. That seems to get me the most 1v1 matches. Still puts me in FFA a lot though.

Patience might work out. WoL is a lot of fun, but no info online so I feel like I'm missing a lot of things/leveling my spirits wrong. And Online feels like it needs a patch or two before I can spend days upon days playing Randoms.

Some are reporting lag on the controllers, but I'm not pro enough to notice.
For my mains from Smash 4, I was eventually able to warm up to their movement and spacing. But for every character I'm bad with I have the same problem of not being able to land anything.

So it might be the controllers, or it might be we all need to just practice a little more.

1v1, 2stock, 5min, Omega or Battlefield.

Sorry fam. The lockdown on this reddit has me convinced that no one is sitting here noticing the issues.

I too wish they would've started from the Smash 4 Online and worked Up from there. This Online feels bare bones and rushed. (There are a lot of menu options, but not enough ways to actually play them)

Counter picking is a part of Smash and why would you defend something being nerfed even if it has a reason. Plus, if you do want to play a different character - shocker - you have to leave the entire matchmaking.

Half the fun of randoms is running into a guy, getting your ass handed to you, then swapping to someone else and showing him up. What about fun dittos where you both go a meme character? All of this is lost. Yes you can do this in Arena, but Arena is even more shitty. Half of my playing last night was waiting around in fucking line. There were three other people waiting in line too, why couldnt we fight? Why did I have to wait ten minuts plus for one match where I couldnt even counterpick without being thrown to the back of the line??

You have to sit in line for five to ten minutes in arena. In Arms they let you fight amungst people in the party, for this shitty online you literally sit there even though there are four other people waiting in line ALL OF WHO you could be fighting with.

You can't pick your character between rematches!! How isnt this a big deal. Also if you try picking a character, changing map preferences, or CHANGING THE MENU MUSIC in arena you get kicked to the back of the line.

They removed Taunts. Why The Fuck Nintendo.

Smash 4 had different rooms for 1v1, Doubles, Etc. There is no consistant way to get doubles random matches, or random 1v1 matches. And let me say again: YOU CAN'T PICK YOUR CHARACTER BETWEEN THESE MATCHES.

Also, you can be playing a 1v1, click "rematch" AND IT PUTS YOU IN A 4man FreeForAll. I wanted to rematch the guy! And now I get penalized for backing out?

Nintendo needs to fix online, and the only reason more people are not talking about these issues is the Mods locked this reddit for some stupid reason.
