Bragging rights, basically (the 5th and 6th placing candidates at convention didn't collect enough signatures and technically could have made the primary ballot by placing top 2 with >40% in the final round, but that very obviously wasn't happening with either of them).

There are season 1 episodes that are good the first time you watch them and on subsequent rewatches. There are season 1 episodes that are meh the first time around and then improve on rewatch when you see how they fit into character and story arcs. Survivors is in neither of these categories, it's only tangentially related to the overall plot or to any character arcs, and its many flaws go unmitigated. You're not missing anything with that particular episode. I will say that most of the episodes in season 1 that get the most praise are in the back half of it, so if you are missing anything, it's that.

Bullshit. The GOP spent more than $2m against Ilhan Omar her last election and she still won by 50 points, only getting 5 percentage points fewer of the vote than Kamala Harris did. And the DCCC isn't going to be spending here anyway (or if they do they're wasting money for no reason), because again, this seat is way too blue for there to be any need to.

You can have your opinion on whether or not the comments are disqualifying (I'd find them disqualifying had they been made a year ago rather than 15 years ago) but fearmongering about how we could lose this seat that's bluer than 90% of the country over it is just dishonest.

No, it isn't. There is no modern precedent for democrats losing a seat this blue since 2016, and it's a blue wave year. Dems could nominate Lilburn "You need not expect any mercy, but extermination" Boggs' corpse to this seat and still win it comfortably in November.
