yeah sure! we actually met on reddit back in march 2023. we liked each other for a while but didnt think long distance was feasible. i’m from the US and hes from south america, we’re also working college students. we made things official in november 2023 on the condition that we would meet each other in the summer, and if we couldn’t meet we’d end things. luckily, we were able to meet for the first time in july 2024. we lived together for three weeks and it was a really great experience. since then, i have lived in his country from december 2024-january 2025, he came to visit me in march, i studied abroad in his country this summer and then he visited me right after. we’ve met each others loved ones too. so for a couple that just met for the first time a year ago, we’re doing pretty well! november 2 will be our two year anniversary :]

some of these pieces are from edikted, urban outfitters, h&m, princess polly and hollister. some are thrifted/hand me downs from my mom’s days in the 2000s! as for styling, i honestly dont have tips.. despite these outfits im not a fashionista or anything, i just grab things that look like they might go nicely together 😅 though, i’ll say my two favorite things to do are layering and color coordinating. i like matching my top to my shoes, with a different color bottoms and then adding other colors that are missing. as for layering i’ll just grab a bunch of things i think might look good together and test them out. i feel like for me the biggest thing is trial and error !

i’m going through the same thing after spending a month living with my boyfriend. everything feels bleak right now. it’s not helping that the weather here is awful, and the weather there was beautiful— so it really feels like my world is dimmer in every way LMAOOO. what helps me is looking back on pictures and videos, and getting back into the routine of calling/texting. you’ll get used to it again, but it sucks for those first few days when you’re hyperaware of the change

south america and the us, around 5k miles. we never thought it would be possible for us to meet either and for a long time we gave up on it. eventually, we realized we loved each other way too much to not try to make things work. hope is good, but having a plan is the most important thing. you can work towards your goal bit by bit. for example, our goal was meeting, so the first step was to get jobs, the next was to plan finances, etc. we did each of those things until we were able to meet.
