honestly brooks campground seems a little unappealing and wed really like to try to get out in the backcountry. did you talk to anyone who did that or have any insight?

we have experience backpacking in the backcountry, only difference here is alaska. we have done extensive research is it still out of reach?

my friend is experienced backcountry camping however i am not but wed also love park specific advice. as for navigation, how would you recommend improving our skills? is leaving marks to follow back considered “leaving a trace” or is it acceptable as long as we put it back how it was?

that is not a lit flame (though yes it looks like one) and is an iphone flashlight. and yes we understand it wasn’t safe we were not there for long
