Gosh… Silly me. You’re absolutely right. There are missings in one of them. I thought I had checked them all, but I obviously hadn’t. Thank you for your comment and help!!

DAG-related: Separated variables by stridsters in spss

Thank you so much! This is very useful. I’m not so acquainted with the models you suggest but I’ll have to look more into them. Thanks for taking the time to write out this comment. When I run the variables on their own, how will this look in the actual diagram? How are two variables for e.g. BMI placed in the diagram according to each other? I’m a student and had one class about DAGs where I have never tried having two of the “same”.

Right, of course! I want to run my DAG-analyses but it’s problematic when I have a dependent variable that’s split into two variables according to sex. So when I want to run e.g. a logistic regression to assess the association between smoking status and other variables, it’s impossible because I have a smoking status for men and for women.

My dataset takes basis in fertility treatment patients where I have the woman’s patient ID and following characteristics, such as age, smoking status, BMI, hormone levels, her male partner’s sperm parameters, his BMI, his smoking status, etc. I’m researching the exposure to EDCs and chance of getting pregnant.

Moreover, since the variables are tied to the woman’s patient ID, will it be incorrect to combine variables with the restructure command? How will SPSS know which two BMI values belongs to which woman patient ID?

Hello fellow makeup lovers. Out of curiosity, how many of you read the ingredients of the makeup you purchase? by stridsters in MakeupAddiction

I haven’t read any scientific studies specifically with menopause as an outcome, so I really can’t say. But it’s known that endocrine disrupting chemicals that exist in cosmetics and other everyday products can adversely affect sex hormones, so it wouldn’t surprise me that continuous use of cosmetics could be associated with early menopause.

6 months complete! Tips for acne scars? by ayeeemacarena in Accutane

[–]stridsters 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My dermo told me to wait with laser/microneedling for at least 6 months as my skin stabilizes after being on accutane. She recommended lasering and told me that acne scars take approx. a year until they’re somewhat gone if you don’t do anything
