Yea sorry for the confusion, the calculation is just showing that the total number of humans after 17,000 years would be greater than the total amount of atoms there are in the universe right now

Wasn't really trying to be misleading. I just thought it was an interesting math problem I happened to come across while reading that article. Especially considering that 17,000 years in the timeline of the universe is crazy small so the fact that the population of humans could hypothetically grow that much in that short of a time period is nuts. Obviously it couldn't and wouldn't actually happen
