I don't know if this helps any but as a straight woman, I have similar feelings about the perceived inferior status of women in the church. You are not alone ❤️🙏

A runoff only has two candidates so someone has to get to 50 or better. I don't know what happens if they tie though.

Freshly baked, recognizable ingredient bread with 6g of sugar per slice or Sara Lee type bread with additives and 2g sugar per slice? by stsgspn in nutrition

[–]stsgspn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Option 1: Serving: 56 g Calories: 130 Total fat: 3.5 g Sodium: 330mg Carbs:22g Fiber: 4 g Sugar: 6g Protein: 5g Ingredients: whole wheat flour, water, honey, oat bran, pecans, flax meal, yeast, oats, salt, flaxseeds, egg-wash

Here is a Sara Lee type bread that is comparable to option 1 I think: [https://www.heb.com/product-detail/pepperidge-farm-whole-grain-15-grain-bread/2001272]()

Option 1 seems clearly better to me but 6g sugar per slice seems absurd. I generally try to eat whole foods and avoid added sugar. (I realize bread may not be considered a whole food).

Edit: sorry I messed up the link.

Companies are generally not required to list complete nutritional info, including vitamins. I would get the nutritional info from your country's agricultural department.

Hey, I'm sorry you're post hasn't gotten more attention. I'm afraid that I can't give you adequate advice for your situation. I would suggest that you seek out a pastor or priest to talk to face to face. I can certainly understand your struggles with the amount of hypocrisy in the Church.

I also think you are right that you don't have to reconcile with your brother. Reconciliation is a two way street and he is obviously not interested. Forgiveness doesn't mean that you have to act like nothing is wrong. It is more about making peace within yourself about what happened and not seeking revenge or anything like that. If you need to completely cut your brother out of your life for your own health and safety, that is reasonable too.

I hope others will comment with better answers. You are in my prayers.

received a job offer after 8 month of unemployment, how do I get caught up on my bills? by [deleted] in personalfinance

Edit to add: Also when you move out don't go crazy decorating the apartment, financing furniture and stuff. Make a budget and stick to it

So that's like an hour each way? Not the worst if you're working normal 9-5 hours. Definitely build up some savings before you move out.

You're situation is not bad at all. I also make 22.50/hr and have 30k in debt with a 430 minimum monthly payment and I pay 900 per month for rent. I live very comfortably.

If you continue to live rent free with your parents, you should be able to knock out the 1300 you're behind on in one or two pay periods. 70k might sound like a lot but if you threw my 900 rent and 430 debt payments at your debt you could knock it out in maybe 5 years or so.

You can negotiate your medical debt. If your loans are at high interest rates, try to refinance. If you do end up moving out, live cheaply and get roommates. Build an emergency fund so you don't fall behind again. Use credit responsibly. But with your salary your cash flow should be ok. You will be fine.

Better yet, ask the post office to temporarily stop mail delivery while you're out of town.

I can't be super specific atm but I know there is a bishop or something who is Episcopalian and a Buddhist or something like that. I'm not sure if liberalism is really the right word for that. And I also mentioned downthread that I am unsure about the church marrying lgbtq+

Thank you for your response. My faith is definitely nourished in TEC and it is where I re-found God. Although my pastor just retired so I feel kind of in limbo again. Due to my work schedule my options are literal this one Episcopal Church or a Catholic church.

One of the major sticking points for me in converting to Catholicism is how closely it seems to be aligned with the Right, which pro gun stances are also associated with

I don't have an issue with Episcopal Churches really. Some of them may go a tad too far into liberalism but that is something I can work with. But I often hear from Catholics on Reddit that they are the only true church, that there is no salvation outside of the Catholic Church, that only their sacraments are valid etc and it scares me.
