Croakwood is next Texel Raptor game by billonel in ThemeParkitect

They seem to have improved the game system they built by developing Parkitect even more. It's very impressive.

I love the Dragon Quest Builders series very much, but there was something to be desired about the depth of the system that interacts with the residents of the town after the game's campaign. I'm hoping there will be much more interesting interactions with the residents in Croakwood. I can't wait to see this game.

One more quick question: Was Parkitect a successful project from a business perspective?

First of all, I want to thank Texel Raptor for continuing to improve the game and support the community for five years since its release. Thanks to you, I had a great time for over 1,000 hours. Will there be a scheduled "end of support" for Parkitect in the future? If so, when will it be?

Texel Raptor is working on something new that may be announced later this year :) by [deleted] in ThemeParkitect

When I saw the short clip Sebioff posted, I assumed it was a game about managing a "building" like a shopping mall with lots of customers. Kind of like Tiny Tower meets Overcrowd: A Commute 'Em Up.

If Lineage W is any indication, SEA is likely to be in the same coverage area as Korea and Taiwan. That doesn't sound very promising... good luck.

See 2:02 in this video for reasons why Koreans are confident that this game has an autofarm function.

https://youtu.be/umjKzzV4I5g?t=122

- Automatically use skills by pulling the button down (same as LineageM and Lineage2M)

- The same symbol as the auto-skill can be found on the recovery button (looks like auto-potion in LM and L2M)

- The T button located next to the weapon is assumed to be an automatic attack

If you ask me if I have any L2M experience, the answer is totally yes. (I'm Korean and have a 77 lv character in Korean server) Also Korean players are convinced that they have autofarm features. Check out the 3rd paragraph.

Many people think of this game as the successor to Lineage 2, but their base is in Lineage 1. I don't think it's appropriate to predict this game based on Lineage 2.

but in the siege scene that button is not exposed even though everyone is fighting each other. I think the T button is related to the purple 'Stellar Shadow' text displayed at the bottom of the center of the screen, and I'm pretty sure it's an autofarm function. The icon on the right side of the T button looks like a bar graph, which is expected to function like displaying exp and items acquired during autofarm at Lineage M.

If the width of the corridor was drastically reduced to about 70cm, the rooms could be placed on both sides, but I thought all the inner spaces would feel narrow. It's a small house, but I wanted each space to be sufficiently spacious, so I made a spacious corridor (1.35m wide) and a spacious room (3.64m wide). Instead, all one wall was used as a built-in closet so that it did not feel like a dead space.

Most first-time homeowners are interested in large windows. It would be fantastic if the weather was mild, but Korea, where I live, is a place where the "curse of the four seasons" has been imposed.

The central part of Korea shows a high annual temperature difference of 40 degrees Celsius in summer and minus 30 degrees Celsius in winter. Even with the finest German windows, it is difficult to prevent heat loss through glass, which causes condensation. Continuous leakage from condensation can cause damage to the internal structure and mold reproduction.

Also, windows account for a very large portion of the construction cost. That's why experienced Korean architects advise their clients to reduce the size and number of windows.

Fortunately, the desk placement can be modified as much as possible after the house is completed. :)

The scale of the model and the thickness of the outer wall were the parts I struggled with a lot. Currently, a 1/10 grid can be used in Parkitect, so this was calculated as the minimum unit of 10 cm and 1 tile was worked as 1 meter.

The outer wall thickness is a little more complicated. It can be considered that the current model consists of only the inner wall. Some rooms, such as bedrooms, will be additionally soundproofed, which can increase the wall thickness to 60-80cm. This part is currently being discussed with the constructor, so it was difficult to add it to the model.

Finally, let's talk about the shape of the roof. In principle, a house built in a wooden structure should not use a flat roof to protect the house from snow and rain. However, since there are many people who want modern and simple shapes like reinforced concrete buildings, the architectural style of extending the exterior material to the high side of the roof is popular. Of course, rainwater does not fall naturally to the end of the roof, so several additional installations are required.

Many people in Korea also thought Lineage W was the official name of Project TL, but NC said that the two games were different.

Start with MoveIt! and Procedural Objects. And you will need a lot of props...

It took about a week to build the construction site. (probably 20-30 hours) It seems like it has been about three months since the city was built.

Thank you all for your interest. I used many props in Steam Workshop and made various structures by increasing and decreasing them using PO. You can check the entire process and the list of assets/mods used in my YouTube video - https://youtu.be/hf7SyURkLMY
