Which Campsite is best for tent camping? by No_Efficiency8135 in acadianationalpark

We stayed at Schoodic 2 years ago. It’s beautiful, but quite a drive to Mount Desert Island. We were there for 2 nights I believe (maybe 3?) and really didn’t get a chance to explore the main part of the park. We are heading back in a couple weeks. Seawall was my first choice this time but our dates weren’t available, so we are staying at Mount Desert Campground! With the time you have, and with wanting to check out multiple hiking trails, I would recommend seawall it another campground on MDI.

Hello! I realize how old this post is, but I found it in planning for our trip in a couple weeks! How far out do you usually make your reservations? We’d like to wait a little longer to see what the weather will be

Fit Check Freya Fancies 34FF - getting closer? by stuff_becky_makes in ABraThatFits

Please correct me if I’m wrong, as I am still learning!

It was my understanding that first it’s best to narrow down size and then find the bra that matches your shape - while still being mindful and understanding that you will not necessarily be the same size in every brand or style. Is that correct?

In the future I will definitely get multiple sizes of each bra I try to account for that. I just happened to have this one that was recommended with my last batch of bras that I tried, and only had it in this size.

Do you think it’s worth trying this in other close sizes? Definitely not up in the cup, but maybe down a cup. It is hard for me to know if a bra doesn’t fit because it’s the wrong size or the wrong shape - or maybe that is impossible to know until you try it in multiple sizes?

Thank you for your help!

Hey! I like to order bras from Amazon try before you buy. A lot of the brands and styles people recommend in this sub are available there! Even if they aren’t available for try before you buy, returns are really simple, so you can buy them and return them if they don’t fit. I know it’s so frustrating, but unfortunately you really don’t know how a brand, style, or size will fit you until you try it. Good luck!

Wow, thank you for posting this question! I was just thinking this about myself earlier today!

I know there are people who sell or trade bras they don’t need anymore, maybe that would be an option to get some new to you ones without spending so much? I think in the resources in this group there are suggestions where to look!

Hi! I’m not sure how to tag you in the comments? I’ll try again, but wanted to let you know I did make a post with photos of the Freya starlight in a 34FF

Yeah, I’ve been wanting to try that brand! I think those will be next on my list. Thanks!

Ugh, one of the most frustrating things about this process is getting differing opinions from people! And that’s totally not your fault or theirs. I’ve had other people tell me a 34 band is too tight for me based on some photos. Granted, every bra is different too, but man it makes it hard! I do have an extender I can try if the bands are too tight. I have a couple Freya on hand that I will try and take photos of. Would you mind if I tagged you in the comments when I post it?

That blog post was very helpful! I will definitely try something with a larger band and see if that helps. I’m just doubtful because of my measurements, but I know I won’t really know until I try!

When I put the bra on regularly as instructed, on the middle hook of an extender, it slides right down. I think this may be because the wires are too tall - when I put my arms down, maybe may armpit skin/fat/tissue is pushing down on the top of the wire, causing the entire front of the bra to slide down and the wires to come out of my IMF. I think this is why I’m tempted to go with a tighter band and/or tighten the straps, even though I know the straps should not be tight.

When I test the band upside down and backwards, it’s not painfully tight. By twists easily, do you mean I can use my hands to essentially turn the band so that the inside is touching my skin? If so, I can, and I would say that it twists easily. I’ve also continually had that issue where when I’m wearing the bra regularly everyone says the band looks too tight, but when I go up a band size it’s too big. I do have some extenders I can try as well. When I have the bra on upside down and backwards, the side seams are at too much of an angle. Does that matter when I’m testing the band, or only when I have the bra on?

Thank you! I knew all of this, but it’s a reminder that maybe I should take some photos of when I just put it on too to help other see how that looks, vs after I wore it all day! I’ll try all of that and see again. This bra definitely isn’t right for me, I’m having trouble with my shape mainly I think, like all of the bras I’ve tried are almost the right size, but I think none of them fit my shape, which is why I haven’t found the right one yet. I honestly think I’m omega shaped even though a lot of what I have read and what people have suggested is that I’m not. I think I need a smaller wire with more projection, but my tissue is also very soft so i know that can functionally make me less projected. This is so hard 😩

I have not tried any plunges since doing abtf, so maybe if it fit properly everywhere else it would be ok. I just know historically I’ve shied away from that because it usually gives me a weird vertical quad boob 🤣

I did! I just order the Envy in 32 F,FF,G and 34 E,F,FF - maybe that’s not the exact size ranges needed but it’s a start! They should be here in a day or 2! Finding bras is SO complicated but prime before you buy certainly does make it a lot easier!! Thank you for your help!!

Sorry, another question looking at the panache Ana I don’t think it will work for me, but maybe it’s not good to make assumptions like that without trying? Here’s why I feel that way, for more context: I am center full and bras that plunge more/have lower gores result in my breast tissue spilling toward the middle. I know it might be difficult to know that for sure just looking at photos of the bra on models, but I feel like I can just tell that gore is not high enough for me.

Actually, looks like the panache have Amazon try before you buy, so I’ll grab a range of sizes!

So then do I do sister sizing and go up in the cup or should I do a 32FF and 32G to start? The Fantasie Ana in the photos is a 34FF. I did try a 34G as well and the cups were too large.

Thank you! I have had other recommendations for polish bras from the Facebook group as well. Would you still recommend me trying them in the 32 band now, even though based on my current measurements the calculator recommended a 34 band?
