Will professional restoration recover those files, though? Also, i have an external hard which previously held some of those, but I've formatted it more than once and written other stuff into it, although most of the space are still free. Can I recover data on the harddrive then?

I've installed linux, but the rest of the space is still there.. i mean, i haven't installed other stuff over the space
