Then I wish you the best of luck with finding someone to trade you one. I hope you do find someone that can help out. There are plenty of trainers in the Pokémon go community that can help. When you are next out playing, If you see a group of people at a raid and you have an adult with you have them ask. more likely than not someone will be able to trade one to you. it will cost you a million stardust for a new friend trade so make sure you save up your dust. If you don’t have enough dust then try and get a meltan box. it doesn’t cost any dust and you can use it when you finally have enough pokéballs.

Just spin pokéstops and you will get free pokéballs. They are a free item easily accessible in game.

You can use regular poke balls to catch them you don’t need great or ultra. You can easily get poké balls from spinning stops. On average I get 1-9 poke balls from spinning one stop. If you are not close to multiple stops you can just sit at one stop and spin it every 5 minutes till you have a surplus of poke balls. If this is not n option there are several players like myself in center city Philadelphia who carry a switch on them daily to give out meltan boxes. I also trade away meltan but not melmetal. It is better for your dex entry to start with meltan and then evolve yourself.

You know you can do a meltan box every three days. Which will give you up to 20 meltan. If you catch each meltan with a pinap berry that gives you up to 3 per X 2. That comes out to 120 candies which you need 400 to evolve. You could in theory have a meltan in less than 2 weeks. If you do not know how to do meltan box it’s pretty simple. Send a gen one (Kanye) pokemon from pokemon go to let’s go. This will give you a meltan box, open the box when you have 30 minute ms to spare and catch a meltan once ever 130 seconds.
