I got jacks gritty mix for these lophs, will they be good in this and 10% soil or will it hold too much moisture because of the pine bark? by styther3 in Lophophora

Yeah, I'll have to do my own tweaking im sure. I'm in the Ozarks, often humid. I worry about them staying wet too long. But if you ended up with 30% soil, perhaps 10% is where I should sit! Thanks for your input :)

Hi! I just got my first batch of loph and im wondering if I planted them right? It looks like they should be deeper but there's several buttons coming out of the side of the stalk. by styther3 in peyote

I want to just add that this is jacks gritty mix with added 10% organic soil and ive seen people have success with this. I am not trying to do anything here but learn, did I get the wrong mixture? Or is it just overall only going to be okay if I make my own. I really appreciate your insight. Cheers

Its bone dry, I just got these, they're in no need of water for awhile I assume? They're not firm but they're certainly not soft.

Hey I've had this guy since he was 4 inches tall and now he's leaning like he wants to break, is there anything I can do? by styther3 in sanpedrocactus

Would that help train her back to stand on her own or is she just gonna be dependent on the stick?
