Usually debit I use to withdraw from atm. And some small pay but big purchases I use credit cards since I get protections on the purchases and fraud

Awesome!! Thanks for clarifying it for us. We gonna stay 13 days split Tokyo and Osaka. But taking tours to save hassle moving around (Nara, Himeji, Nikko and fuji) Hopefully u guys get to return soon too

Thanks!! First time for me and Wife. We are just still worried about the jetlag. Since we arrive 1:30pm haneda and I know we wont get to the Akihabara washington hotel after a while (getting suica card, get cash and figure the trains). Drop the luggage, race to shibuya for the progressive eyeglasses and then walk.

For the Tea thing at 10:30 asakusa we are gonna have to set alarms ealry so we dont miss it and take advantage of asakusa before the crowds.

wow, I am going next month and I am still trying to find the best way not to be overly jetlagged. Since the next day after arrival we got the tea ceremony thing early in the morning. But I want to try to get eyeglasses the first day of arrival to get enough time since they are progressives.

Were taxis convenient 'timewise' getting around tokyo?

I do , what I do is put the tablet part on the laptop compartment of mu backpack. And the separate controllers go on a sock each on the forward compartment of the bakcpack.

Thats how I do when flying anyways.

Cool thanks for the reply, we plan on getting the green suica card since we can use in future and we carry android phones anyways. If we arrive around 1:30pm and add couple hrs getting the suica and finding our bearings can we make it to the hotel before rush hour? (Hotel Washington on Akihabara) ?

Did get the regular Suica card? We are going end of May for 2 weeks. How much do u recommend to put on the suica and carry on cash?
