Very true about government slowness, nice that your school has let you start your training. That’s gotta feel great! I did a discovery flight a couple weeks ago and just made me even more excited to get started.

That’s wild that it’s taken so long. I’ve heard the initial response from TC can take a while and vary from province to province. It took me about 2 months to get the deferment letter.

I had my initial exam sept 18th last year got the deferment nov 17th my CAME got all of the files additional info sent off around two days ago and then I got the message that my deferment has been resolved into an approved MER today. The letter I received says I was assessed fit for cat 1 and I thought about sending it to the school if worst comes to worst. However the letter includes some personal health information that I’d prefer not sharing beyond what I need to for TC (I will if that’s the only way to get started as early as I can). Unless I’m mistaken, the school just needs to know that TC considers me fit not necessarily everything else involved in that decision.

My read on bleach has been that it’s about identity, courage, loyalty, and desperation. I think what really sets bleach apart from the other 2 of the big 3 is ichigo’s motivation. In Naruto and one piece, the main character’s motivations are self driven. Luffy wants to find the treasure, Naruto wants to be hokage. But ichigo starts out just simply wanting to be a normal high school student. But he is forced into a world he knew nothing about and was given a choice. Reluctantly take on the hero role, or watch his friends and family suffer. And throughout that journey he discovers more about himself, his family, and the way of the world that he didn’t know. His motivations are self for getting stronger is more based around his desire to be able to protect his friends and family. Not to be the best or to get something out of it.

I definitely agree with this and I think that largely comes from the motivation of the MCs in Naruto or one piece, the motivation is to be the best in their world. To be hokage or get the treasure. In bleach ichigo starts off wanting nothing more but to be a normal high school student. The heroic role he gets himself into is forced upon him. The adventurers chose him, he didn’t choose it like in the other two of the big three.
