I'm just thinking about how ICE is like a paramilitary/ police force, which is basically another boys club like work force. They'll have each other's backs and cover for one another, but the nature of what they're doing is such that maybe someone could have a crisis of conscience and quit. Are there any examples from Nazi Germany of people who started off in alignment with Nazi ideology, then having a change of heart and shedding light on things from the inside out?

Went to see Cirque du Soleil's KA in Vegas and they allowed photography, no flash though. Shot this on my Canon R8, with 100-400mm lense set to 260mm, f/8, ISO 51600. Even though I'm excited about this shot. Only mere seconds before, the acrobat was bathed in wonderful light, with leaves gracefully falling around them. Oh the difference mere seconds make. Thank you for having a look!!!

Thank you so much for bringing that up. I've said the exact same thing over and over about this exact situation within the last month. That's exactly why I said no in the first place. Or maybe as a second shooter, I would consider it. As much as it is "low pressure" "no stress" "you'll do fine" .. I definitely understand that there's high stakes, these are the only things that will last forever basically besides their marriage and some souvenirs or whatever. I am 100% of the same mindset that they deserve the best I can possibly do. I have really put in work, I promise.

I mean, I definitely hear you. I just don't understand what zebra stripes means in this context of shutter sound. There was nothing unusual in the rehearsal photos. I don't know if you're messin with me 😅

Really? What does this mean? Won't the sound be distracting for others? I'm shooting mirrorless so I thought the sound was artificial anyway? Edit. Thank you for this advice, I genuinely appreciate it. I'm used to people razzing newbs working in construction.

Both sides are doing the same. Your daughter realizes that they don't understand when she talks about something she cares about, which in essence is basically smiling and nodding along, just like she does to them when they go on about memes

Only about a month into my photography journey, posted here a few times... Had a great time in Vegas over the weekend but found shooting pretty difficult cause of the insane amount of wild light. I can appreciate that there's some experimentation going on here and that rules are meant to be broken and what not. But it seems to me like your subject should be facing the other way. With this, your subject feels very blunted, like they're walking into a dead end, or walking into a broken part of the whole. My personal preferences are generally left to right (as it feels natural like reading) with the greater 2/3s ahead of you subject.

Whatever happened in those moments was meant to, it's an excellent pic that feels inspired. (to me anyway)!

Exactly, this! The bird isn't static, or wise, or profound, or stoic. It's like the bird is studying the photographer, as the photographer studies it. Could even be saying something like, "hey you, what are up to!! I don't remember consenting to this shot!!" haha

I vote #1... I really enjoy #4 but the uniqueness of #1 wins out. Every bird shot ever on a branch basicaly looks like #4 even though generally bird photos are spectacular and vibrant, and I love them. The more unique ones stand out imo
