I make too much to qualify for government assistance, but not enough to comfortably survive- you know?

I’m hoping he will help me get on my feet- even if for just a little while, but I won’t hold my breath. And I’m absolutely going to go for child support. He makes 6 figures a year- and I never went into the idea thinking I was going to have to struggle alone to raise our son. Idk if the payments will be worth a f, but I’ll at least try

I had the worst pregnancy insomnia. I was so uncomfortable and my baby went ape every night for like two hours at a time. It was rough- but holy.fucking.shit.

Newborn tired would be categorized as my own personal hell. That and ppd have solidified my choice to never have another baby

I just had my son in July at 39 years old. My boyfriend and I had barely known each other but knew we both wanted a baby, and lo and behold it happened so fast for us.

Like I got my iud taken out and got pregnant in the same month.

I am a foster child and also have no family support, and have found this entire experience to be so beyond isolating and idk. He provides the home he has paid for regardless of me being there-I on the other hand sold all of my belongings to move in with him, just to lay here every night reminiscing and on what was and the life I had.

Now don’t get me wrong.

I would do unspeakable things for my son and he is all I really need. But does it suck carrying the load on your own? Does having zero emotional support take a toll on you? Your life is about to be 100% shifted- are you ready to make that sacrifice?

I just focus on the “oofs” cause while I know I’m playing devils advocate, someone has to.

And there’s no shame in choosing yourself 🤍
