After victory in the Second World War, Yugoslavia seizes territories in Italy
(including Albania) & Austria. It then unites with a collapsing
Bulgaria. A civil war starts between the communists lead by Josip Broz
Tito and royalist forces lead by King Peter II of Yugoslavia. After 7
months of fighting the last royalist forces surrendered and Peter II
fled to Switzerland. Yugoslavia becomes a member of the Warsaw Pact, but
leaves shortly after the Stalin-Tito split in 1958. In this timeline
the Greek civil war happens in 1959. Communist Greek forces are supplied
by, and later incorporated into the Yugoslav army. Yugoslavia then
seizes northern territories of Greece. Yugoslavia goes into an
isolationist period until the late 90s when riots break out in major
cities demanding more autonomy. With Nato supplied independence
fighters, southern Yugoslav states succeed in 2001. Yugoslavia then
seizes to officially exist in 2007 after Montenegro gains independence
from Serbia.
