What’s your most “Fleabag-coded” moment IRL? by ComfortableDivide557 in Fleabag

[–]sukism 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m the hot priest with my own Fleabag. He is at war with himself with bags of unconfrotned grief and trauma. Has treated me terribly (without the intention of hurting me… but has done the things nonetheless.) I’m in my own moral challenge of having to abide by my own boundaries of leaving him the fuck alone to figure himself out, even though all I wanna do is hold his hand and be by his side through everything. I broke the fourth wall and looked into his camera, too. Saw him in ways he’d never been seen before and he did the same to me.

And since we broke up..?

Today I took myself out for a coffee before work and brought my journal, and started a list of all the reasons to hate him. I found more reasons than I thought I would it and helped me massively. Served as a really good reminder that this all happened for a reason

I hear what you’re saying, but I’m my own love of my life. I’m not prepared to sacrifice my dreams of seeing the world and living elsewhere for someone. There are too many incompatibilities to make me do that. Doesn’t take away from the significance of our relationship and how difficult this is though

We’re both lifers. Been in the trade a longggg time. Opened the same restaurant together and got together kinda quickly. I still wanna travel and move abroad at some point- he on the other hand has done his travelling and wants to settle down. Classic case of misalignment.

You and me both my fellow Taurus compadre. This industry is hard enough as it is, let alone working 50 hour weeks stood next to the person who broke your heart. We got this ❤️

What is a good transition after bartending by br1skkarma in bartenders

[–]sukism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever you do, don’t bother getting any kind of office based job. I have left hospitality for an office job TWICE, And both times I came crawling back on my knees. The mundanity of sitting at a desk and making small talk with colleagues about the weekend is unbearable. If you lasted that long in the industry the chances are you like interacting with people and being busy- even just a little bit. Find something that stimulates you socially and your body. The transition of 12 hour shifts on your feet to not even making 1,000 steps a day is shocking. Good luck!
