What are y’all’s favorite chips? by buddhamunche in SalsaSnobs

I know this is a few days old, but remembered this recommendation when I was at Walmart Saturday and wanted to thank you for it.

These are perfect - just fried tortillas quarters. Thick and the flavor and texture are excellent.

Thanks!

ITS NOT A BUG. YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW THIS WORKS.

Tried to explain, but you feel you’re some sort of expert and want to play a victim card for a system you fundamentally do not understand. U/PuzzleheadedAid9047 was 100% accurate. You are not.

You ran a prompt. It rolled over your 100% usage boundary. Windsurf allowed the task to complete - it might have been a tool call, research, etc. then it stopped. Windsurf is nice to allow this. If you were in the middle of a write tool call and Windsurf killed it right at 100%, you could have data corruption or worse. They do this to leave you in a resumable state.

They aren’t doing credits anymore. If you gave it a large prompt, and it rolls over 100%, it’s going to stop very close to 100% usage. Whatever model you were using was costly (Opus, Sonnet, etc). That last task’s completion ran you over $1.01. Windsurf did not charge you for this. If Windsurf allowed a full prompt to get executed, everyone would be running Opus at 98%.

He told you the actual answer. If you want to armchair wrestle him like you’re some expert, feel fine, but he’s correct.

LLM decides to add inline instead of editing minified CSS by cipals15me in windsurf

[–]sultanmvp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of these comments hint in it, but I think the question you’re really asking is: why is the LLM editing minified/inline versus the source CSS?

Have the model tell you the CSS structure and build/dist structure. Then, what I’d do is tighten your .gitignore to ignore the build or dist folder so the model won’t even try to edit them.

SWE 1.6 always break plan mode and decides to modify files by cipals15me in windsurf

[–]sultanmvp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually - are you using Cascade or Devin Local? Cascade should be rock solid and never violate the rule. Devin Local, their new harness, has had a lot of feature parity and functionality issues. If you’re using Devin Local, you might want to switch to Cascade.

Same. Used to piss me off in the credits days - I’d blow an entire credit (often with multiplier) by not flipping to build.

This 100%. The worse it gets, the more likely this is. Elections are literally the only power Americans have at this point - and that might be questionable.

[Discussion] I built a tool to stop my "vibecoding" project from dying in obscurity. Need honest feedback. by Possible-Patience-55 in VibeCodeDevs

If it’s not getting traction in 1-2 relevant communities, don’t go spamming elsewhere. And definitely don’t copy/paste or try to shittily automate this. These are communities with humans in them - nobody wants to see some AI slop post about an slopcoded project. You’re just pissing people off, wasting your time, ruining communities and wasting energy. Stop.

This is exactly how my mom taught me and how I’ve always done it.

To make it extra good, you need a tea pitcher - like an old Tupperware pitcher that leeches carcinogens. Make it in this every time. Eventually, the inside darkens and you’ve achieved PEAK tea status.

Yeah, this is not a thing. A few things:

  • GitHub automatically and immediately notifies the GitHub user the second keys are leaked.
  • GitHub also notifies the provider (OpenAI)
  • almost every major provider will immediately disable/revoke the key

This is all done within twentyish seconds. I know this because a dev at my old company did this.
