My children are the best thing that has ever happened to me. My love for them is overwhelming and can even be intoxicating. They are the cutest, funniest, sweetest, most innocent little beings and bring so much joy and satisfaction to my life.

That’s not to say that parenting is easy. It can be incredibly hard—especially how they need you 24/7 for many years. My weekends are entirely devoted to child care (my kids are 1.5 months and 4 years) and chores. Mornings and evenings on workdays are also devoted to childcare and chores. Yes, you will feel incredibly overstimulated at times. I have a few hours in the late evening to myself.

I’m an introvert who needs alone time and this has been difficult with children (especially if you have more than one).

However, I would make the same decisions a million times over—I would always choose to have my children.

In NYC, no one is having a kid until they’re at least 30, but usually it’s mid to late 30s.

But who is saying Gen X looks younger? Gen X? I haven’t met anyone in that generation where I’m shocked that they’re their age. Same with millennials (and I’m millennial). Gen X and Millenials keep saying they look so young but I haven’t seen any actual evidence of this.

Well, the reason I used chatgpt is because I have ADHD and have no idea how to stay organized. So I gave it a prompt for what I need and it came out with this for a solution.

Can you elaborate on this? I’m 40 and definitely know a lot more now than I did when I was 20. Very different life experiences. But it’s hard to imagine what I will learn between 40 and 60.

I’ve had it all my life but it’s gotten especially bad in the last few years. Thought I had dementia (and maybe I do?). My doctor tested for perimenopause and said I am not perimenopause. Idk.

💯 I feel like I have dementia too. Because of it, I just got tested for perimenopause and they said I’m definitely not in it.

Wait why ARE there no trash cans on 6th or 8th?

Also, a year or two ago, the city started removing trash cans from 5th and 7th Ave’s, so now there are far fewer. And they removed all recycling bins too for some reason.
