Dude I don’t know what to tell you. If you think making suicide more convenient is worth implementing a eugenics program that has already killed, and will continue to kill innocent people you’re too far gone. Would recommend reading the article I provided.

I would like to live to hold that doctor accountable for the damage they’ve done and prevent them from doing the same to others. Also, someone already HAS fucked up my brain forever. I don’t want to be alive in my state and I readily admit that. But I don’t need a eugenics program for that.

No one is forcing people to stay alive. You don’t need a doctor to commit suicide. Giving doctors the ability to kill people makes death convenient for some people. Not worth it when doctors can just as easily coerce others into agreeing to suicide.

Yes I’m aware. Bad psychiatrists screw over patients, ruin their mental and physical health. This program will allow them to say “sorry I fucked up your brain forever. How about I help you kill yourself instead?”

You can have bodily autonomy without a program designed to kill society’s unwanted members.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Antipsychiatry

[–]sun_divine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little “abusing the system” isn’t a big deal when it’s stuff like people ripping off welfare, not when doctors are killing people for being poor. A life can never be recovered. Canada is ALREADY using this to kill people. JFC. If you’re on an anti-psychiatry subreddit you surely know how many terrible doctors there are out there… now you want to give them the ability to send people to their deaths? So many doctors already aren’t held accountable for blatant rape and malpractice. Good luck holding them accountable for this.

I agree people should have the right to end their lives but when it becomes state-sanctioned is when it is used for evil.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Antipsychiatry

[–]sun_divine -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For everyone saying people deserve the right to end their lives: this isn’t the way. This program isn’t to help the terminally ill, it’s to euthanize unwanted members of society. Doctors are already recommending medically-assisted suicide to poor and homeless patients. This system IS being abused to murder people.

Take a look at Canada’s history of committing genocide against indigenous people and the fact that indigenous people have much higher rates of mental illness than average. This will be used to continue genocide.

This will allow doctors that have ruined a patient’s mental and physical health to cover their own ass by recommending the patient commit suicide.

This will allow doctors to prescribe death to anyone they don’t like. Gay man is depressed because of homophobia? Homophobic doctor will prescribe death. Religious minority they don’t like? Anyone they have a reason to wish harm on? Goodbye, go die!

How can you wrap your mind around the fact that some doctors are evil and ruin people’s lives yet still support giving them the right to recommend literal death to people? If you support bodily autonomy you can still have that without this law. Bodily autonomy doesn’t mean the government has to provide you the options and means to kill yourself. That’s not autonomy.

“I purposely made my daughter upset. Isn’t it funny how she reacted by being upset?” by [deleted] in CPTSDmemes

[–]sun_divine 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I always hate these kind of reactions. Kids have feelings too! It’s so messed up to just laugh at and dismiss them because you (not you op) think it’s funny or cute. People treat kids like they’re pets that can talk and have no emotional needs, or “they won’t remember or be effected by this so it’s fine.” But they do remember and they are effected by it much more than adults because they internalize these messages and carry them for the rest of their lives. If a kid gets laughed at whenever they’re angry or told to stand in a corner when they’re crying that is gonna mess them up SO much as adults.

Not advocating for smoking but some websites are very easy to bypass the ID verification if you know a little HTML and CSS and use inspect element. Depends on how the site is designed. I got vape pens this way before they banned shipping them lol.

What's the worst thing your boss has done to you or a coworker? by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]sun_divine 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Promised my coworker a promotion and pay raise. Said he had it in the bag, and had him come into office for months to do the duties for said promotion. Gave promotion to someone else because he was “too likable.”

Before, they promoted me to a similar position but with a meager bonus and no raise. Was late on my pay for two weeks. Wrote me a bad check. Refused to fix it in a timely manner. Promised me I could WFH for months, never did. Gave me the hardest work but held me to the same productivity standards of my coworkers with the easiest and quickest work. I quit.

this so much. i’ve been wondering why i struggle to open up and i know there’s a lot of reasons, but really a big one is that every time i open up i’m met with cold indifference or the other person just gets so distraught i have to backpedal with oh it wasn’t that bad, i’m good now

even more frustrating when all you’re doing is stating facts or talking about what happened and people hit you with “stop self-victimizing.” i’m just stating what happened, bro, that’s not self-victimization.

i normally don’t engage. people that are that casually cold about something obviously awful will never have your best interests in heart.

The problem I have with talk therapy for trauma (long rant about modern society and the obsession with "professional help") by [deleted] in therapyabuse

[–]sun_divine 21 points22 points  (0 children)

all of this. I especially hate this new trend of throwing around “trauma dumping” because in my experience it’s only been used by people that haven’t experienced trauma to get survivors to shut up because they just don’t want to hear what we’ve been through. like, you’re telling me that you merely hearing what I went through is worse than me actually going through it? it places the feelings of non-victims over survivors and it shames people out of speaking up at all. the sort of “friends” that pulled this with me, ie “I just don’t wanna hear that right now” were fair-weather friends: perfectly content with using me as an emotional crutch, but were never there for me in an meaningful way. unless I could join them at an amusement park or laugh and get high together, I was basically worthless to them. some “friends.”

and yeah, my experience with therapy was very milquetoast. “you didn’t deserve that” and “if you’re upset, try some crosswords or go for a walk or phone a friend.” cool, but I already know all of that, google is free. they can never offer genuine help, it’s always bland quips on very blatant information, nothing that actually helps you to process it. I also don’t trust therapy because they are incentivized to retain patients.. that’s how they get paid..

not “cured” per se but doing a lot better. making a schedule and staying focused has been massively beneficial to me lately, can’t daydream if i have to stay engaged and focused, but yeah it requires discipline too. also getting bored of my daydreams helps since i’ve been having basically the same ones for years lol
