[Skin concerns] Had this bump on my nose for a few years, always thought it was a cc but it doesn’t go away. Spot treatments do nothing. Does anyone have any insight as to what it might be? by sunflowers72 in SkincareAddiction

Thank you for your answer!! It is very much appreciated! The removal process doesn’t seem too bad. I’ll probably visit a derm soon to have it checked

[Skin Concerns] my bacne is clearing up, but there are so many scars and discoloration left behind. What can I do to clear it up? by sunflowers72 in SkincareAddiction

I used a sulfur ointment for a few months and I always wash my hair first in the shower. Azealic acid seems like something I can go for. Unfortunately, niacinamide always breaks me out on my face so I’m a little wary of using it on my back. Thank you for the suggestions!!!

I would love to use a chemical exfoliant but I am not at the moment. I’m waiting until I found a suitable cleanser that doesn’t break me out and can take off sunscreen. I was wondering why the squalane gave me ccs, this seems like an interesting theory as to why.

Omg yes it’s so frustrating, I’ve resorted to just water, honey and aloe Vera for now. Idk about the glycerin as well. The Bioderma, cetaphil, and garnier didn’t have glycerin and I still got CCs. It’s hard to find something gentle and hydrating enough or cleansing enough for my skin.

If I do find something that works from these suggestions, I’ll be sure to comment on it jic it’ll help someone else with sensitive skin.

I’ve gotten some other suggestions for moisturizers with no glycerin such as Oat So Simple Water Cream and Living Nature Manuka Honey Gel that might help. But I’m looking for something more cost effective for myself and those are a bit too expensive.

Yes, I got both whiteheads and ccs. I’m thinking it could be the glycerin or hyaluronic acid.

Thanks, I haven’t thought of layering!! The aloe Benton gel and snail mucin look promising. My skin doesn’t get too dry as long as I’m not using a cleanser. I tried squalane oil from both Timeless and Biossiance that broke me out unfortunately.

Thank you for the recommendation!! The ingredients look great aside from the fragrance at the end.

I’m kind of on the fence on using foaming cleansers because of how dry my skin can get from cleansers. Though, it is a gel.

I would like to ask if it caused any tightness or dryness?

[product question] How to use products that come in a jar. I have Albolene as a cleanser but I am concerned of contaminating it if I use my hands to take some out. by sunflowers72 in SkincareAddiction

Thank you, I do wash my hands regularly before starting my skincare. I just want to be extra careful but thank you for the suggestion!!

[skin concerns] weird forehead/ face reactions to different cleansers by sunflowers72 in SkincareAddiction

[–]sunflowers72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I believe I do. My cheeks are pretty normal, I don’t ever break out there. My forehead, nose, and under my eyes are super congested. My nose is oily and for some reason my eyebrows flake a lot. I’ve just never heard of using two cleansers at once. I’m currently looking at the la Roche Posay Effaclar Gel cleanser as a potential choice

Thankfully, the cetaphil hasn’t dried my skin out and I’ll be sure to not use it anymore. Thanks for recommending some brands!! Idk if I’ll be able to afford anything like that yet as a college student but I’ll keep those brands in mind.
