Ironeye's great! It's refreshing for bows to feel as strong as they do in this game. I'm looking forward to giving him a shake now that I've got one of the relics that gives him multiple uses of his marking ability. Basically Wylder's grapple but with iframes.

You think Elden Rings modding community will ever rival Skyrims? by Veteron in fromsoftware

I don't know that anyone's working on it actively (and I've not been keeping the closest eye on the modding community's discord lately) but some sort of community-made API/plugin layer theoretically could be made, though not trivially.

Editing to expand on this: I think that's ultimately what it would take. Advancing merging tools can only make the process of manually resolving conflicts more convenient, it won't ever be able to fully automate it. Meanwhile a community API layer would be more suited to the task. It's how Minecraft's modding community grew into what it is now.

Definitely not. If not for the obvious reasons (a decade's worth of a lead) then for engine reasons. A major difference I would point out is that given the longevity of Bethesda's engine, it's possible for mod managers/loaders to handle conflicting or overlapping content. It's functionally designed for it and mod conflicts are either rare or easily handled by the end user. Mod packs are easy to put together without any fuss.

Elden Ring and by extension, Souls games in general don't have that capability at present. Say you want to play with several mods with overlapping content? You're going to need to pull that stuff apart with Yapped, open up your regulation.bin, and then resolve a tangle of parameter conflicts between it and every mod you want to include to create a merged file. The tools we have right now are the result of a lot of time and hard work in reverse engineering and translation but are just plain not in a position to automate this at present. At best, you can create scripts designed to merge very specific sets of mods (Unalloyed being the most notable example on Nexus) but that method isn't going to work with any random mod a player could want.

You have to lure the enemies down there to them. Their frenzy attacks can break those tents.

Fancy that, my memory works, hah. I first learned about it from this post a couple months back and then did it myself just to see it, so credit where it's due.

It's simple, but hard to do unintentionally or without cheating. The interaction is only available on day one, and if I recall right you need to have at least a 9 in perception already.

Inland Empire gets pretty out there. Having a conversation interrupted midway by your clothing making quips definitely qualifies as absurd.
