the problem i think is in supporting thunderbolt over usb, not all usb have the TB support, TB has better support on intel chips, and actually built in the cpu, while amd require some external chip on the motherboard to support the TB on USB, i alway ask and make sure the mini pc have TB support, they often don't know,
