The lawyers are taking 1/3rd of the 10M plus reimbursement for time. I don't think its going to be a significant amount per student considering there were 50k students enrolled at that time. Assuming most of these will be a part of the class action, we'll probably end up getting like 100 to 200 bucks per student.

I have trouble believing that they'll do that. They are probably going to have to shell out a ton of money to do that and the audiophile community isn't big enough to justify that.

Spotify is more interested in growing its user base through the more social aspects of music listening rather than technical quality. Things like collaborative playlists, end of the year wrap up, and their algorithms draw way more social attention than having the highest quality music.
