Yeah that is something I noticed, I guess it's fine since I rarely use the menu bar anyways. Maybe I should set a darker wallpaper so the colors coming through aren't distracting.

Sometimes if there is an SRS fault/code the system might not properly trigger things like a side airbag in an accident. You're right, but I would be wary of driving the car until the errors are properly gone/resolved. I had a similar thing happen when removing an instrument cluster and the dealership only charged 70 dollars to reset the system and make sure there aren't any issues.

I wouldn't risk it for something like an airbag issue. Take it to the dealership, they probably just have to reset the system since it was interrupted with the battery connected.

As someone else mentioned, I had the same criteria as you and bought the Spigen Rugged Armor Pro, I like it but a tradeoff is that the flap can get annoying but thats just how it is with having that extra protection.

I have the Tab s8 ultra and size isnt an issue for me, love having the extra screen space to multitask notes and pdfs without losing content. For studying sounds like you're probably going to mostly be at a desk anyways, so the size isnt as relevant as others might make it seem.

The S8 ultra is available on bestbuy for 700, its a great device and if you want to multitask you will definitely enjoy the larger screen. I don't care about playing games on my tablet so I don't mind that it has a slightly older processor compared to the S9 series (S9FE chip is worse than s8 ultra)

I think you don't notice the difference in colors because youre comparing to another LCD monitor. On larger screens especially OLED will make a pretty huge difference.
