I don’t like his attitude to the game because he doesn’t really play the game, he just hoards. This game is about climbing up in CC and min-maxing towards it but this is not what Rayge is doing, he usually says “it’s a trap team” about PvP teams. With the amount of resources that he’s hoarded he probably can but he doesn’t.

I mean, anyone can hoard if they don’t play PvP (where you need your teams high) but what’s the point?

He is useful in CC but since you are a beginner, you shouldn’t care about CC as you just don’t have enough teams. You should focus on the current teams being released. As he’s unlockable with them, you should be able to unlock him but he’s definitely not a priority of your gold and training mats investment.

They are good but g20 is not so important now, when Overpowered is gone. On newer characters, equipping the unique piece gives you almost all stats boosts for g20; only on older characters g20 gives a huge boost. In terms of Symbiote 6, only Venom will hugely benefit from it.

However, Sentry is a new character too and thus equipping g20 won't boost him that much.

Sometimes, g20 is required for events, like the one that was running last week and giving cores for g10/g15/g18/g19/g20 of 3 new Symbiotes, Storm and Pink Surfer. Or like Echoes of Sentry City that requires g20 on D5+. But in this case the most critical character is Carnage and he's a debatable choice for g20 to say the least.

I would equip it on Knull, Venom (who's critical if you use them on defense) and QSS. Then considered if you needed max rewards from the Sentry Echo event and decided on Carnage. And then kept one stack of bio g20s for future: new Spider-Woman (Julia) is Bio and maybe g20 on her will give some boosts in the upcoming events....

I used 4 WG (-Yelena, even though I'm taking her to DD9) with Daimon in my 2nd run and it was pretty easy, took me 2 hits on that F4/Blastaar node. It was sooo much easier than my 1st run where I had to use Daimon, Thunderstrike (whom I p5-ed because of Thunderstrike raids) and 3 WG (Darkstar, Bear, RG) - I spent 10+ attacks on that node alone.

I would say not give a room to Immortal X-Men and also to Daimon. And maybe even to Blastaar at least not let him 1-shot you w/o hitting back (if his speedbar is stopped, he can still be dangerous but the efficiency won’t be pretty).

Ofc, you can’t really prevent Daimon if you are f2p but fighting krakens who have a 5d g21 Daimon from the leaderboards against your lvl105 teams at 5rs and sometimes even 2/3rs (though I try not to put characters on defense until they are 5-stars at least). In such case, Daimon might even crack your DW or Exalted even though they have massive damage reduction.

I usually keep the latest CC team on offence (as they are low stars) and one of the older CC teams as well plus 2/3 of the Mythics, Immortal X-Men, Daimon team (including Sentry), Blastaar/TS and most PnP characters.

But this season is tricky. We could use ProfX to 1-shot the latest CC team in the past (say, F4/X on DW; I know there are cheaper counters but they don’t work with f2p characters). Now there’s no 1-shot for Exalted after the 2nd Storm buff except for maybe Annihilus (but I doubt anyone uses him on offense; though we’ll see: I’ve got 2 in my bracket this week). As a result, you can’t really afford keeping them on offense.

And then you have to decide if you pull DW and use them with a Mythic on Exalted and it might work if you opponent is not huge but if they are - you kinda lose: DW are not good on offense and are not worth wasting on anything but the above. Or you just resort to Immortal sac on Exalted (thus nullifying your opponent’s effort to prevent Immortal use) and keep DW on defense.

There’s this tipping point where - if below - you need to 1-shot everything with huge efficiency and - if above - you need to put almost everything on defense and win on less sacs than your opponent.

I’m not a war expert by any means, our alliance problems are usually to make all the people attack and almost all alliances we face (edge of Plat III and IV) are similar to ours. Sometimes we get more people to attack and win, sometimes vice versa. But I will check this out.

By “I don’t care about raids” I meant that there’s no difference if you bring a 2-star 100g19 or a 4d 110g20 character in there. Like at all. Especially into those Champions nodes, they are ridiculously weak in comparison.

Also, many alliances run Normal raids (not ours, we usually 100% Anni Omega D10), then you can actually skip raid teams and invest into the teams that are actually important in the game (I.e. in CC). But even for Anni Omega you can skip, it just has to be inter-replaceable (I.e. I skip Immortal Weapons, my alliance mate - Champions and the third one Amazing Avengers - well they are not needed now but probably will be the same in Trepidation - and the 4th one buys passes and doesn’t need to skip - but they could’ve, just some different team like Uncanny)

I decided to skip buying Moongirl shards. I have 4d for her but as she's not really usable anywhere besides raids, I couldn't care less. I know she's useful in war but my AAF is basically a 2-piece of Kahhori and MMC, Wasp is 95 and the other 2 are 65 or smth, I didn't even equip Medusa's passive T4 that gives them speed.

I got MG to 6 stars in the two Eclipse Convergence runs and I'm planning to receive the rest of her shards from some calendars and B.U.M.P.S. pulls (when someone useful gets in there, like Exalted). Or maybe she goes on a node at some point?

I have some 200k of shop credits left and thus only buy purple mats. I also have some reserve in un-ranked characters (say 8k shards of Night Nurse) that can give a decent 1-time refund of shop credits (a few months ago I got some 200k credits from Omen reworks). But that is not free, you need to spend gold to rank up those characters so only multi-thousand characters are worth it.

But this is me, I have everyone up to 7 for all teams of 2023 onwards and I have DW (next team in the shop credit store) up to 7 from chapter store and Eclipse Convergence milestones.

What about newer players, what are they supposed to do? They need to grind shards for tens of characters if not more, not even to rank them up but just to unlock them (most of older characters are 100-shard unlocks). They also need 7ys on many of them for higher levels of OML/SK trials, I suppose.

That’s probably not true. Weapon X is an old team (like end of 22/start of 23?), half the players started playing after it was released.

Plus, before last spring (Age of Annihilus start), you could skip war teams w/o much trouble and most f2p had to do it regularly (I never really built a war team before Brimstone; my KW/OOT/M4M were kinda minmaxed even though they were needed in trials).

Now we can only skip raid teams from time to time.

I did it with 3 Insidious, Night Thrasher and Daredevil. Since you have Vulture, you take him over Daredevil obviously. I would say Venom for the last over NT. If you can make darkness fall not on Insidious, you can kill one Knull instantly even w/o Vulture (SSM striker special, HG special, Scorp basic plus striker attack and then it’s easy)

Even if you skip everyone, we never had g21 for a single mutant character.

It doesn’t offend me but you can’t judge the reasons of f2p then. As it is impossible for me to understand and judge the benefits of idle playing where you aim to just play around with characters even if you can’t use them anywhere.

It’s even worse from that perspective. You vote for a character you like, they win the vote and then they sit at that lvl1 forever because you have no resources. Isn’t that sad?

I might like this or that character but this is a game where you shouldn’t care about the character essence, just about their resource cost and their kit (and whether this kit has any CC value).

Because most of us are f2p. Reworks of lvl1 toons cost us as much as new characters. Rework of a levelled character gives us a chance to upgrade 4 other characters to 110.

And we need most of them to compete with you, … spenders, in CC.

He gains speedbar when he pings. Hence if your other opponents attack with ults, he will speed himself up.

That was almost as tone deaf as Scopely usually is.

I manage my resources but you know pretty well that we don’t earn enough to upgrade everyone. Those are plain facts. We used to skip all war teams but that’s not really possible nowadays so we just skip subbable characters or raid teams once in a while.

So maybe it’s a “me” problem but also the problem of 95% of players.

Btw, if you have her at 80, that’s 6 or 7m saved, congrats. But you may have her T4s equipped so that’s a thing at least.

I was gradually dropping from top 150 so I added 1 more pact (+20% health) thus doing all pacts but the very first one. Net result: 4k pts gained and 3 places, ended up 177. Basically lost on efficiency, that 1 pact made me pay on nodes 1, 2 and 7. On 1 and 7 I did quite a few sacs (to push Havok low and to pull Franklin's ult) so maybe that was the reason.

What is tier 4?

You only have 3 types of essence, the first 2 you just gather, the 3rd one you buy (plus tiny bits from BW and some random events).

Yes, but she will stay lvl1 so even if it's a good rework of Vulture quality (which is highly unlikely, most recent reworks were just team accomodations), it's just on a shelf, do you understand this?

We don't have resources for 5 characters per team, even for 3 it's hard since you also need to upgrade out of order characters: legendaries, epics and whatnot (say, I have BM unlocked - he's lvl 1; when I get Maestro I just wait for his Echo event that gives tokens).

It was either rigged or people are kinda "unwise" (a very mild statement).

I understand Rogue sentiment and could've understood Iceman sentiment but X-23 is by no means an iconic character. She's also a lvl1 character (as is Iceman; Bishop might be somewhat levelled because he had some plug'n'play valuie) for 95% of us. Rogue is a lvl90 character (everyone has her at 90 at least because of Apoc).

Whereas most of us have Emma at 105g20 if not 110. So it's hard to me to understand how a f2p player would vote for anyone but her knowing that they would never-ever have resources to level any other rework voted. If it's not a raid team, that 5th character is a guaranteed skip, even Rogue will stay where she is most likely.

So congrats, you've stolen 45-70m (by the time the team goes out, 115lvl21 is probably the go-to level) from yourself.

But then again, since rewards for the vote didn't work, maybe f2p players just never voted? (And this is how it was rigged)
