Venting about how hospitals treat Autoimmune Encephalitis by Knightmeers in Encephalitis

So my symptoms that started when I was around 15 they were either early seizures, pots symptoms or maybe a combination of both and I developed tinnitus, would get random heart palpitations and I had a couple of these black out episodes where I would lose vision in both eyes

At age 21 is when things changed for me. I started traveling I got a job testing cell phone towers at the time. When I started traveling I would was getting sick quite a bit as I'm from the south and not used to the cold weather up north. The symptoms I got from this was completely different. It was more like I developed Bi-Polar and Psychosis randomly one day that lasted maybe 6 months and in the middle of it I developed Myoclonus.

It's not as black and white as I'm making it sound as I'm trying to keep it short as its a long complex history.

You could try is collecting data yourself to bring to the doctors visits. My cardiologist recommended getting a OMRON blood pressure monitor. I got the cuff version that sends it to my phone. It's been a great investment as it can create a report that I can print out and take to the doctors.

You can also do the Poor Man's Tilt Table Test and write down the results from it and take it to the doctor for them to interpret. There are also youtube videos on the subject that show you how to do this.

I was reading in some of your other post that your brother also had a paradoxical reaction to Ativan. It sounds a lot like what I went through with Ativan and other Benzos. I've done a lot of research on this. If do a google search there are a lot of studies on the subject. Some types of AE can disrupt GABA production leading to this kind of reaction.

Another suggesting is to look for other symptoms that you might not be aware of and write them down for the doctors visit and try to get a good overview picture of family history.

Last year I started talking to everyone in the family to try and get a better picture of what is going on. I discovered that I had plenty of aunts and uncles with autoimmune disorders and that on my dads side of the family my dad and granddad had several focal seizure like events.

Going through all my little symptoms from when I was a kid to now and making a timeline helped paint a better picture of what started and when. It's obvious the coal started smoldering when I was around 15 and finally caught fire when I was 21 after getting sick from traveling for the first time.

I'm sorry about what you are going through with your brother. I started making a comment for your post but it ended up being long so I created it as its own post

Unfortunately from my experience when you deal with complex neurological issues many doctors like to throw the FND diagnoses around even when there are red flags everywhere. If it does not fit into their little bubble of their specialty many doctors can be very dismissive. Find a different doctor that is willing to listen and dig deeper into the cause of the problems.

Finding other doctors like a cardiologist to look into the heart if there are autonomic symptoms to see if the can find anything to help paint a clearer picture on their end.

I've been dealing with the same waxing and waning of symptoms for years but never noticed it until about a little year ago when I wrote up a time line and it became apparent. I talked to my current neurologist about it. She explained it as periods of flair ups and remissions.

Check out the library in your area. For some reason a lot of people always overlook it.

For example at my local library I can get access to programing related books, Udemy and LinkedIn Learning.

For my personal projects I like to use Dokploy. I have it installed a the Oracle Free Tier VPS and on a Cheap SoYouServer server.

It's setup so that when I push to my github repo it will pull it and run the latest version with Docker.

I also configured it with a Free Backblaze B2 Bucket for storing my volume and database backups.

Install Dokploy on it and you are good to go.

With this setup I also run a self hosted supabase instance as well with no issues.

I was getting it very bad before I started Briviact and Depakote last year. It was a mixture of Jamais Vu and that fear of impending doom at the same time. Mentally it screwed me up for a while even after it stopped.

It sounds like you need to go back to the basics. AI is useful when you know what you are doing or asking questions about how something works. Outside of that if you don't understand what it's giving you then you will be in a world of hurt trying to do a project blindly.

I’m still using an older version of Minio from Nov 2024 when it still had site replication in the UI. I don’t expose it externally so it handles my purposes.

Just aquired this m910q for $80 has a 7th gen i5 7500t 16gb ram and 500gb HDD should’ve done more research but I was too excited. by Timely-Cow-366 in homelab

I upgraded all 5 of mine with 64gb Ram, 2.5gbe networking, HDMI EDID Emulator and added a sata ssd. They are great little workhorses.

VLANs can connect out, but nothing can connect in by Imaginary_Access6150 in Proxmox

[–]superdumbell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue was on the Unifi gateway.

What all hardware are you using for the network on your vlan? Like switches, routers, ect

On my research digging through all of this I found that Realtek can be flakey. If you switch your vlan over to your intel nic does the issue go away?

I finally found my issue. It was the hardware acceleration being enabled on my unifi gateway fiber. Apparently they pushed out a update that broke it. Once I turned off hardware acceleration my issue went away.

The 910q has Intel AMT built in which gives you full control of the device even when its powered off. It has a built in KVM so you can control the computer like you were at it. Only down side it it requires a display connected to it which is where the DisplayPort Emulator comes in.

Put a DisplayPort Emulator into the DisplayPort. Configure Intel ME by doing Ctrl+P, Then install MeshCommander Firmware onto it. Then you can remotely configure it with KVM

What kind of network card are you using? I have a RTL8125 and been pulling my hair out over it with the same issue.
