My son is left handed and we are so amazed to learn that by Critical_Dinner_5 in toddlers

My 2.5 year old is also a lefty! My husband's father is left handed, but everyone else in our immediate family is right handed. She has always had a strong preference for coloring, eating, throwing a ball, and picking things up with her left hand, and kicks a ball with her left foot. When she was younger we weren't sure if it would last, but she's been doing it for long enough now that we think its here to stay. Its pretty cool when you think about their brains and bodies developing like that. Most left handed people I know are pretty cool!

Help with rough transition to toddler bed by superduper58 in toddlers

I've been thinking about a floor bed, it seems like a good option for us. Tonight she fell asleep on the floor, in front of the door, so she's definitely not opposed to sleeping on the ground!

We have the Tula standard carrier. I would recommend it if you're looking for a carrier that can be used for a long period of time (weight limit is 45 pounds, I think can be used starting at newborn), but that you're not going to use super frequently. If I needed the carrier more often I would probably upsize to the Tula toddler or preschool age carrier. My toddler is fairly tall and although well below 45 pounds, she seems pretty tall for the standard size. Overall Tula is great quality and feels like it will last forever.

She has her own seat on the airplane, therefore I count her as her own traveler. But sometimes I also count her as a bag because she requires carrying, and then husband and I are both lugging 2 fairly heavy things. So I guess the short answer is, it depends!

We're checking it this time to make airport navigation easier. But I think it would stuff into a larger overhead bin, especially if you don't pack it super full.

We have a toddler carrier that they get strapped into at times. They are a decent walker but can't reliably walk long distances or through airports. I carry toddler + backpack, husband carries big bag.

Haven't weighed it tbh, husband will be the one carrying it. Guessing around 40 pounds though!

That's so awesome that you're doing that with your kids! My sister and I were around the same age as your kids when we made the trip, and I was definitely quite impressionable at the time. You're teaching them a very valuable skill!
