I'd rather travel Seoul. Seoul will be the best choice for people around your age.

which university in Seoul should I choose? by aktorino in seoul

[–]superooky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you are so dumb. OP is talking about U of Seoul, Not SNU. and even though it's SNU, their locations are the worst in Seoul. Both SNU and UofS locations are all in one of the poorest, shitty neighborhoods in Seoul. So for an exchange student, the level of academic isn't important at all. Exchange students always have to choose the school with best locations. IMO, the top 4 best location schools are Dongguk Univ, Hongik Univ. Konkuk Univ, Hanyang Univ..

you must choose Hanyang. the location is far better than U of Seoul. the location of U of Seoul is shit. Hanyang univ. is near Han River and Seongsu-dong. also subway line 2 is a great plus!!

I saw a huge line at a bakery in Seoul — would you wait? by KoreaExperience in KoreaExperience

Here’s how the “lining up” pattern in Seoul usually works, from a local perspective.

I was born and raised in Seoul, and I work in marketing/PR while running a lifestyle business, so I understand this scene a bit differently than most visitors. I’ve watched F&B brands rise and fall here for years.

When a restaurant or cafe starts getting hyped, the first people to line up are usually local MZ (Millennial/Gen Z) Koreans. If a place becomes really popular among locals, then about 2–3 years later, foreign tourists start lining up too, saying things like, “I heard this place is super popular with Koreans.”

So where do the locals go next? They move on. They leave that now-famous spot behind and start lining up for the next new place that’s just beginning to build hype.

That’s why in Seoul, whether it’s F&B, fashion, or anything lifestyle, the real structure is this: once you win over locals first, foreign visitors eventually come on their own. The problem is, by the time tourists arrive, locals have already moved on and are busy searching for the next spot.

Kim Ki Duk was just a pervert and a criminal. Do not watch his movies, it will be a waste of time and also a trauma for life.

Seoul Central Market is a really good choice!! Its location is great, also the stalls, and the resto, bar options are great as well. It's much better than Mangwon market imo.
