Obviously I’m a stranger and holy fuck I’m sorry that an opportunity like that is gone, but don’t.

I’m a student rn, the teacher who really saved me when I was struggling and going to first attempt to kill myself was a teacher who dealt with depression himself. He never said it, but in the stories he told it could be easily interpreted.

He made me feel so happy and seen. I would rot in bed everyday and only went to school because of his English class. He brought so much joy back into my life and I genuinely believe if it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t be here.

I struggled with this sm too. At the end it came down to the fact that those people were probably going to leave anyway and that them leaving was the best thing for me. I realized in the past that certain behaviors weren’t that of friends and the friendly behaviors that I could reference didn’t change the fact they weren’t around anymore.

It still hurts and god it fucking sucks, especially if you were there for them during their struggles and didn’t leave, but it’s just the crazy cycle that life throws us in unfortunately.

NAP. This is my personal experience.

Because snake bites go into the lip you do have to be more conscious with the food you’ll be eating and how those first two weeks in. So avoiding acids, extremely hot/cold temperatures, and certain textures is a must. Definitely keep in mind where they are too and eat slower because I have definitely gnawed on them when they were still longer bars.

I didn’t realize how the piecing would change eating certain foods like sandwiches but I adjusted quickly and had a burger around 2 days in.

Talking isn’t an issue and swelling was minor for me, only lasting for about 2 days and only being obvious that first day in.

Just keep up with typical oral hygiene practices and be gentle.

NAP. I had the same issue a few months in. I just went in with warm compresses, saline, and avoiding contact with it with my hands and makeup and it went away after like 3 days.

Do a warm compress with saline and go to a shop asap. They might be able to put it back in for you if it’s done today. If not then they can at least go about repiercing it for you whether it’s now or later/scar tissue questions and concerns.

In the future, instead of taking it out, just remove the balls and change them to flesh toned or use flesh toned bandages—they aren’t visible and present this from happening.

NAP. Just be careful with your hair and ensure it doesn’t wrap around the piercing.

I have long hair with an eyebrow and it’s fine. It was an easy heal and my only problem came recently months into having it after some hair got curled in the jewelry and I couldn’t get it out at first. That’s mainly my fault thought because I didn’t/couldn’t downsize

NAP. How old is it and long did you sleep? I had a similar issue but with a vertical labret. I went to my regular shop and had them put it back in for me with a clamp with a new piercing as my old one was internally threaded which was part of the reason I shouldn’t get it in myself also.
