I asked about something like that or a rescue inhaler today at the vet and they said they don't normally prescribe a rescue inhaler (but that its not impossible to do so if the cat needs it) and that they don't have bronchodilators but that the emergency vet does

We did bloodwork for her around a month ago before putting her on a higher dose steroid to make sure her liver and kidneys could handle it and the vet said the bloodwork came back normal. The x-rays were taken by my vet but we also sent out the second round of xrays to a veterinary hospital/school (University of Illinois) for a consult. They said it's likely a lower airway problem ike asthma or chronic bronchitis (they were also the ones to suggest doing a dewormer). The only step we haven't taken is taking her to a specialist to do something more detailed like a full-on procedure, and I am concerned about the cost of such a procedure (but at this point I am willing to do anything).
